  1. Hey Gino, why don't you just clone this beauty and send me a copy over. I'd be real proud to have one like this.
  2. Hi Jim, When it comes to waiting for things sent from the US, I feel for you. My experience is, the goods leave the US from more than one port, the bottleneck is in the receiving country! Granted, the ways and travels within the US is unclear, yet relatively quick to Europe. Less than a 3-4 days. Within Europe the waiting starts. I order on an average about 4 times a year from the US. If sent privately, about 8 days for delivery. Commercially, at best 3 weeks. 1 out of 4 are returned to the US. I arrives within 3 weeks. The other 2 take about 4-6 weeks! I ordered from our KJ here, goods that were sent off Feb. 11th, I still have no notice. My take is, the package will be sent back. So, my take is this, it's politics. Germany does not like receiving imports from the US. Europe is heading this direction as well. TTIP, an ongoing trade agreement yet to be voted upon, would ultimately cease import duties between Europe and the US. US loves the prospect. Europe fights it because it loses revenues, read customs taxation. The US imports vast quantities, but Europe does not want US goods. So, my package, from a commercial retailer sits somewhere in the cobwebs of European bureaucracy, and I get real irritated when I think about it any further. Sorry for the rant. You've received some fine parts, my compliments. Be patient, your things might arrive sooner than you think. I agree though, better for now to order things within your reach. Sad, but true. Michael
  3. Excellent update Michael! I'd be scared silly to use 3 different colors, good job. The aluminum really sets this build off too. Very nice.
  4. Hey Brian, WOW, the tank looks fantastic! This whole truck is really great, you're doing a fine job and it's fun checking in to see your progress.
  5. Nice model George. Interesting car. Amazing the weight loss, and a potent small block with lesser weight can really move. I found this; http://www.cartechbooks.com/featuredcar/grumpystoys/
  6. Yep, Gator you don't have to do anymore what you don't want to do. I like reading what you post. You are a great contributor here. You don't have to build, but good that you can build if you want to. Now, if you don't feel like posting anymore, that's a different story. Won't happen though. Do as you feel like doing. We'll be here and enjoy what you're doing.
  7. I hope no one minds me giving this great model truck a bump. Dennis and Gator were kind enough to give a tip about the Mr. Grip steps used here, I had a look at this entry from a while back and just have to say, what a wonderful build! This one is really good in my book, it's just plain clean and well built. Thanks Dennis.
  8. Hello Michael, WOW, that's a beautiful model. The paint looks like it's liquid and very deep. Really excellent work. It looks like I could just walk up and push the door latch down and drive away. What a beauty! Are the wheels metal? Michael
  9. Looking good Brent, you're on your way now. Nice and clean fuel lines there, the motor is taking shape. Good stuff.
  10. Looks fantastic Gino, I really like it. Great mods, this is a real looker!
  11. Hi John, this is a great project. The Pontiac cars were cool, and sounded real nasty when built, and they ran well. The look though from the early 60's cars you've posted are really great to see again. I like this project.
  12. Michael that rig is looking right! Great tanks too, and the resin detailing is a real hit, good stuff. The truck has a good attitude about it, I like it.
  13. Looking great Micha! The truck already has a great character and attitude about it, you do excellent "understatement weathering". Shrink tube? Guys, what is this stuff?
  14. OMG!! That stretched truck is sick. The looooongg cabovers kill me. Clayton, I'm happy to see what your way is. I like!
  15. I like the look Dan. I just had a laugh too, the size comparison. Good stuff.
  16. Ken, this is a real looker. I like the shades you used too, they please my eye. I'm always drawn to these soft but in my eyes real catchy colors, and they look great on the shelf too. Great work.
  17. Dennis, those parts do look fine. Also, I've never seen the O ring deal before, what a great idea.
  18. Good progress Brian. Great too that the engine fits, this saves extra work as you have enough getting this cool rig together with different parts. I like this project.
  19. Great Dave, many thanks! My own model Donovan endeavor is doing well.
  20. Man where did this one come from? Gino, this is a killer for sure! Great work man.
  21. Take your time Clayton. You'll get things ironed out. If I know anything with my 65yrs., I've learned to be patient. You can't control everything and sometimes life can give you a whooping, but take your time and with reason things will either work for you the way you hope or you will become attuned to the way things have otherwise become. Day by day we're handed a pile of stuff we don't need or want. Days go by, so does the trash most of the time. You'll get back into it with some time. I always like what you're up to, so hang in there and you'll bounce back like a champ.
  22. Randy, it's great to see you back again showing progress like this. Excellent!
  23. Hi Brent, I found all of the pics. Let me compose a PM and add the pics and you'll have a message soon.
  24. Again, thanks Clayton. Other questions pop up now, but I don't want to take Dennis' topic off track. This is an interesting project.
  25. Hi Brent, I've seen very small tanks on some cars. Like about the size of a shoe box or even lesser. Maybe you can find room for a small box on each side instead of one central unit. Also a possibility would be a collector box alongside each frame rail up front if the rear area is too tight. There is really no set rule or size concerning this subject. I did some researching on this subject on my last Fuel Altered build and have a couple of interesting pics if you're interested. Info on crankcase evacuation in drag racing is not easy to find nor are the pics.
