  1. Great work on those pipes! Man, that motor has some serious big pipes on it, the exhaust stacks are just plain nasty on that old cab. I like the mounting bracket for the P/S too, makes sense.
  2. Oh yeah! This looks like a great project going on. This should really complete your recent Kenworth build. Very nice!
  3. Hi Jim, Man, what a super clean and fantastic build! I love it. Guys, on top of all the things Jim added, check out the radiator! Very realistic detailing here. QUESTION: Jim, did you change the location of the motor? The Lindberg 64 Dodges for instance, all have the motor too far forward. I built one 2 years ago and moved the Hemi way back to the firewall, just like the way yours sits now. Is the Moebius kit like this, or did you do some surgery? This is a really nice build!
  4. Better get some wheelie bars on there.
  5. Great attention to details Brian. Stuff like this really sets a model off, and I like learning about what you're doing. Question: Wouldn't the P/S system be a hydraulic closed circuit system? Then it could be lower, or do I misunderstand truck mechanics again?
  6. Brian, Excellent! OK, lets go further with this. Why do thick lines go here; Lots of small lines running out of there too.
  7. Hello Truckers, I have problems with understanding what parts are on and around mounted diesel motors in big trucks. Here a pic from a motor where things can be seen; What are these things? Black star? Blue star? Red star? Green star? If you don't mind, I have a few more on a Cat motor. Thanks for input in advance.
  8. The way I see it, a tridem is not a flashy rig, but a rugged working truck. I like the more rugged wheels and tires, especially since this rig would handle serious loads.
  9. Nice paint Rob. I think red looks real good on this fine truck.
  10. Well I don't know what it's for or what it hooks up top, but I like it! Hey Brian, I'll buy one too. What's the other black can just behind the shock?
  11. Fantastic Michael. It looks about as real as it possibly can. Great details and lots of tricks too, excellent work.
  12. Great photos Ed! I enjoy seeing places that look good to the eye, and where I could say to myself that I'd like to be there.
  13. Hi Bill, nice project you have going on here. Concerning the fender well headers, I've had great success with using core solder in the size you need. I only have measurements in metric, but 2mm is as about as perfect to scale as you can get for a Max Wedge motor. The stuff is easy to bend, and it looks like unfinished metal, read dull aluminum. Just cut the approximate length with scissors, and heat the strips in water (hot water, it doesn't have to boil) so the flux bleeds out (otherwise the leaked flux will eventually leak out and make a ruin of your work). If you don't mind, here's a quick look at 2mm solder headers on a 1:25 car; You can cut drill holes in the heads, bend the solder wire to where they're supposed to go. Leave the ends though long, after attaching them to the heads (use CA), you can route them under the chassis as you wish. Finally, just cut the ends off with small scissors. Hopefully I didn't butt in here, but this worked for me just fine. I'd do it again, time after time.
  14. Great work on the hinges and doors Rob!
  15. Funny stuff here. I get a kick out of pro built stuff too. Maybe they mean though, "pro" as opposed to "con", like, this is a positive type build, pro humor maybe. Any of us that do our work well, see lots of times what "others" do and we shake our heads and wonder. My work line is teeth. I see and hear what's going on and often wonder at why folks have to pay so much for such a lack of quality. Better yet, the ones doing the work are actually selling it too and getting good cash for it. Pro built is overrated, but still good for a grin on ebay.
  16. Man, I'm wondering if the placement of knobs is so important. I like the dashboard, I can't do it any better. Maybe I read something too intense here. I'll take a deep breath and take a break now. Go and do your thing Aaron, lots of us are grateful for what you guys do.
  17. Good progress Dennis, I like the box too, now that paint is on this is moving along. Good stuff.
  18. Wow Brian, this project really kicks butt. Great detailing and the plumbing is an absolute hit. I like having a peek at your progress.
  19. Oh yeah! Excellent progress, you really do nice work, and great detailing!
  20. Really some meticulous work going on here, compliments.
  21. Looking great Dan, a real tough looking truck, I really like it. Your efforts on the grill are commendable and great detailing.
  22. Fabulous work Charles! This is really enthusing to see and your scratch building is admirable.
  23. Hi Ron, beautiful soldering, and the looks of the aluminum is fantastic. You really have a gorgeous project going on, I enjoy checking in and following the progress.
