thanks guys blue for stripes was airbrushed using Zero Paints Ford and Chevy engine blue part # ZP-1395. you will enjoy this one, the kit comes with parts to build restored Penske Sunoco version also. a headrest behind the driver. also not sure if this Penske car is a replica.

thanks guys for the positive feedback and comments, this was a great kit to build because of how well the parts fit together and very good instructions. You will need a bunch of tiny drill bits for all the bolts that are included, about 14 just for the water pump. many of the bolts are brass and i used a product callled Brass Black by Birchwood Casey to make bolts look like a hardened black bolt and not a shiney brass bolt. the headers are a bit of a challenge but you will have fun building this one.

thanks guys for all the positive feedback. Yes Harold's HRM transkit. i have a few HRM kits but this is the first to be finished. this kit is very accurate with correct 427 , different dash, correct torque thrust wheels and many other great parts.

thanks for the correction, world registry of Cobras & GT40's doesn't have that info. just that it raced by Jo Schlesser under Ecurie Filipinetti banner and does not mention any other drivers.

I have a few different HRM kits but not the Daytona Coupe. the Grand Sport corvette is the only HRM kit i have finished (well almost done) and really impressed with kit and how accurate it was to the real race car. Your builds have looked fantastic and this should be a good looking finished product' Bill

thanks guys for the positive feedback and comments. for the #12 roadster i used a decal from v-r-m decal sheet #008 a straight decal on a somewhat flat surface , a challenge but not too bad. for the #2 coupe i tried to use decals from the same v-r-m decal sheet and had no luck getting decal to lay down correct so i painted stripe on.

final car has decals and 6 are ready for clear coat.

nice build and great paint work. open side glass is a cool touch

thanks guys, yah the dull paint looks more realistic, but i think the clear protects the decals over time.

ok cobraman , you might like this one. a group shot of a 3 year cobra project. 6 grand sport corvettes are next.

this is csx 3019 raced by Edward Freutel and co driver Tony Settember. a rare dry sump car with oil filler on right fender. raced with a couple different numbers and 178 was at Targa Floria.
