Billy Kingsley replied to SteveG's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Steve, how about passing along the idea of a 1/24 NASCAR Charger... I'll buy 30 of them (Really!) Hey, it can't hurt to ask, right? -

Frankly Steve, I just plain missed it! I don't check that segment of the forum every day, because most of the threads are ones I have no interest in (IE, Forign cars, etc) but the one thread of late I would be interested in, I miss. Go figure! I commented in that thread just a few moments ago, with a couple questions you might be able to answer. -
Sneak peek ....... Lindberg's Dodge Raminator
Billy Kingsley replied to SteveG's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Thanks for the post in the main forum, Steve, I would have missed this otherwise. While I would much rather have gotten a factory stock Ram, I do intend to buy one of these when they are issued. I saw the unbuilt test shot at the NNL East, and I have to say, it looked pretty complicated. It sounds as if that thought is right on the money, from your comment. Is the Raminator a real truck or a fantasy creation of Lindberg's? I used to follow Monster Trucks religiously, but after the wrestling people got involved and it became basically fixed my love of the sport waned dramatically. For years I've wanted to do a couple trucks in particular and I very well may get more then one of these and do some kitbashing, provided I am happy with the tooling -

Cool! If it came out in 79, I'll call it a 79 then Bill is that offset hood bulge anything like the one in the El Macho version of the Monogram 78 El Camino? Sorry for the lousy pic....but it's a lousy model, too. -

The Board logo's dead
Billy Kingsley replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It's something to do with SubSilver, Gregg...I just went through each of them and the ones that have a space for the logo have it working. The top one (BB something) says yourlogo though. Personally if it was available I'd be using Solaris http://www.jakob-persson.com/templates/solaris You already have at least one other of his on the list, and, best of all, it's free -

Just though I should let you guys know, the Model Cars Magazine logo at the top left isn't showing anymore. Probably been out for a week or more. Don't know if it's just me or not, if it is I'll have to just shut up and go back to picture taking....

This was a very fun, very interesting MASSCAR show for me! I spent most of the day at the photo booth, and the photos you are about to see were taken by my mom. The Photos I took will soon find their way to Gregg and Jairus (BTW....Thanks for making me a published writer/photographer, guys!) . You can hit this link to see the photos my mom took: http://public.fotki.com/ElCaminoBilly/mode...s/masscar-2007/ Jim Cunningham's Duesenberg 5 of my 8 entrys. The first photo in the album is what I had there, in the hotel room before the show The Massive Mack display from several builders More at the above link! BTW, since I am getting a reputation for buying things, I kept it simple this year...I got a Johan 60 DeSoto, to replace mine that was the first ever old kit I bought, but got destroyed, and an Accurate Miniatures Corvette Grand Sport from the board's own Steve Delory I also picked up a resin hood for a friend and a set of Corvette decals from Steve DeVaux/VRM. I'm not telling what it is though, you'll have to wait and see it when I build it...The only hint I'll give though is that I've seen one of the cars it can do in person and will be building that one.... All this for exactly $100!

1967 Ford Fairlane DESPERATO box art model
Billy Kingsley replied to RodBurNeR's topic in Model Cars
Not the kind of thing I build, but that is a very clean build. Nice job! I'm also in for a boxart build...I've gone in for one of them before and didn't even start it, so maybe this time I would get closer... BUT :!: The real point of this post is, I love that paint....Would you mind sharing what you used to paint it? Thanks! -
That's a really great build. I love that kit, too. I have one, had for some time, but have never really decided what to do with it. That's inspiration if I've ever seen it! Welcome back!

With all those NASCAR kits on there, I'm going to have to spend some money....I gotta save some of it up first....Too many things going on, I gotta pay two people I owe then it's back to buying like normal! I have to get my computer's motherboard fixed (ACK!) and I hope that won't cost too much. What I'm getting at is, Gregg, why'd you have to put all those NASCAR kits up now?? -

After looking over the A-M Corvette Grand Sport I bought from you Steve, if that is indeed true, which I'm guessing I can guess the source, which would lead me to believe it IS, that will be a good thing for that segment of the hobby... Great to meet you Steve!! -
Gregg Needs Help!
Billy Kingsley replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dunno why it didn't work Gregg, sometimes Fotki acts funny that way. Let's try this way: Hit this link, which is the page on Fotki of the picture that shows: http://public.fotki.com/ElCaminoBilly/mode...ast2007066.html And then hit the text "Get original uploaded photo" underneath the photo.... That'll get you the big picture of the same. Or I could email it to you... -
