  1. I did not say it was, As far as that goes Dart was never mentioned in the song.
  2. Like I said before, "If you want to go by the song lyrics go Ram Induction OR build it the way you want"
  3. If you are following the song lyrics it's "He's hot with ram induction but it's understood" that would call for the Cross Ram but you can build anyway you want.
  4. It would race in the Super Stock class, so wouldn't that make it a Super Stock Dodge after a sanctioned race ?
  5. Ram Induction on a 413 62-65 Max Wedge Exhaust system
  6. A little background for those that are interested https://macsmotorcitygarage.com/saturday-morning-cartune-the-little-old-lady-from-pasadena/
  7. When I first posted this in April I had a couple 32's that had been finished and in the storage process one or more handles had gotten knocked off. I do know to research my builds before and during my builds. I do have some replacements now. I do need a "T" style handle I will need for the "rumble seat" type of trunk lid. I haven't started searching my parts stash for that yet.
  8. Those are nice How are they on shipping ? Cost and delivery time ?
  9. Thanks for the information. They should work for 55 and later era hot rods. I will keep them in mind Scott. Do have a web site to look at your offerings?
  10. My current project has a Flatty with a SCOT Blower, Ardun heads and a Harman-Collins magneto. This one is a "A" roadster with a track nose. I have Artillery wheels on it now, but was trying to plan my next project, I like the look of the Halibrands but want to keep it as era correct as I can These are the wheels I am interested in
  11. Starting to build some vintage style Model A's , T's and Deuces. I see a lot with Halibrand wheels . I want to keep mine as correct to the 30's - 50's era. I am thinking Halibrand came much later, maybe sometime in the 60"s . Any info appreciated. Thanks Jon
  12. This is a vice setup I use for small works. Dremel is a bit too fast for distributors but you can chuck up a small drill bit and turn by hand like a pin vise. I found the small vise on ebay and it will hold most small odd shapes , may or may not hold a distributor .
  13. My club S.A.B.A. here in Portland just had a Inter-Club Challenge Meet with the modelers of L.A.M.A.> I couldn't attend but from the pictures posted it had a good showing.
  14. Spent a few years of my youth in Vallejo just north of San Fran. Couldn't wait to move back to Oregon. Check out my FB page (link below}
  15. The only clubs south of Portland are an IPMS Chapter in Salem, an IPMS chapter in Lebanon and Lane Auto Modelers Ass’n in Eugene/Springfield. Nothing south of that until you get into central California.
  16. I will check with my model club and see whats down south. Maybe a couple club members will chime in here
  17. Thanks Gerry. If I get a chance I will dig out my micro drill bits and see if I can get a size. Gotta dig out the magnifiers also
  18. Looking for tips, how-to"s and wire size for R%M Flathead "crab Style" distributors Thanks
  19. I picked up a couple flat mirrors at the Goodwill. also bought a rotating mirrored base from Walmart but mirror is made from foil and not glass, not as reflective.
  20. This may not have what you need but I will do some poking around tomorrow , I know I saw some somewhere'
  21. Thanks Ace, There are a lot of good tips and ideas there, I was considering making my own spring cross member by bending some channel styrene but your way looks much better. Thanks for all the info and how-to's Jon
  22. Interested in building some early style Model A (&32?) track nose style Hot rods. Like the type that were built to "go" and not show. Most Kit frames are setup with newer rear suspension such as airbags or coils. Not counting the Revell 29 Ford P/U of which I have already robbed the back spring perch from, are there any body out there supplying frames and/or rear suspension for "stock" A's ?
  23. It is going to be a Track Nose Roadster. I want to put a fuel tank and battery and a vintage style fire extinguisher in the trunk . I decided to have it open rumble seat style so you can see the trunk interior better. This is my first attempt at doing hinges. Next one I think I will make the inner support thinner.
  24. Good information, thanks for posting
