I may use some of the parts from the Trumpeter kit if there's anything usable for a '59. But I will be building this as a curbside so swapping will be minimal. Although I may be able to use a few parts when I build the '60. Lord knows I'll never build the Trumpeter kit! Steve
Mine must be too easy Harry. That & my memory is BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH! The lyrics you're posting look familiar, but I can never remember where they're from! Steve
"And the man in the back is ready to crack
as he raises his hands to the sky,
And the girl in the corner is everyone's woman
she could kill you with a wink of her eye."
Steve
I don't normally get too excited about these sort of customs, but this looks exactly like the type of thing I would like to do if I ever did one. Maybe just a "tad" low for me, but I love it! Steve
Well, as can sometimes happen, I've begun to lose interest in a '62 Chrysler 300 build the more I researched this '59 Bonneville. So this one may be "leap frogging" ahead. Although I will still try to keep the 300 moving along also. I think the body prep is all done & ready for priming. I'll start doing that this evening. I also swiped a set of wheels from an old Plymouth kit as the originals were a little chewed up from over gluing, as is pretty common. A new set of Modelhaus "Satco" tires await as well. Steve
This one may be a little obscure! Steve
"You're hot stuff with a hat pin,
& good fun with a handgun.
You're nearly a laugh,
You're nearly a laugh but you're really a cry"
It's a paint "cross reference" site so make sure you don't get hung up on names. While the correct 1959 Buick color may be "Lido Lavender", it's listed on the MCW site as "Royal Amethyst", the Pontiac variant. Same exact color. Steve
