"It's the same old story,
hey there, you cocky rock god,
what you so proud about,
I wanna know,
Those loyal fans will eat you up,
They'll chew you up & spit you out."

"I get the same old dreams, same time every night,
fall to the ground & I wake up,
so I get out of bed, put on my shoes & in my head,
thoughts fly back to the breakup."

"I see your lips & I wonder who's been kissin' them,
I never knew how badly I was missin' them,
we both know we're never gonna make it,
but when we touch we never have to fake it."

With that wrap around windshield, & being so small, it might be a little tough! maybe try some thin clear plastic film. I have some "Clear Lay Film" that I bought at Hobby Lobby that's .007 thickness that might work. it's very thin & pretty flexible. You can buy a pack of four 8.5 x 11 inch sheets for $5.00.

You don't even want to know what happened to me in the past few years with a very nice 1958 Cadillac '62 series coupe I had. Had it stored in a shed in cold storage for many years in the small town where I grew up. thought it was pretty safe as a lot of other people stored their cars & boats & such in the same building. A couple of years ago I started to hear rumors from friends in town that the Caddy was in bad shape. I went to investigate & found that the roof of the building had begun to collapse & it had been leaking right over my car for the past several years. Not a word from the owner of the building!! I could have killed him! Well, needless to say, the car was destroyed! too much water damage to ever be restorable. Such a waste, & an easily preventable one, of a very nice car.

You have to be a fan to know this one!
"The evidence before the court is incontrovertible,
there's no need for the jury to retire.
In all my years of of judging I have never heard before,
of someone more deserving of the full penalty of the law."

It's been kind of slow going with my building lately Tom, but I'm slowly making progress. I've been a little pre-occupied lately with a 1:1 '69 Grand Prix that has been in storage for more than 25 years! They're about to tear down the building where it's been stored, so the wife & I decided now is as good a time as any to begin a restoration on it. So my free time has been filled with things like finding a good shop to get things like the engine & transmission re-built & getting a tow lined up to haul it 100 miles.

I use a lot of leftover sprue as well. I make all kinds of parts from it, from scratch building antennas & pieces like gear shifts & turn signal levers, to carb linkage. It can be very useful stuff. Welcome Hector! take your time & don't get discouraged. Remember that a lot of the guys on this forum may have 30 years plus experience. It takes some time to learn all the tips & techniques to building a nice model. And to be honest, you never stop learning! Good luck!

Yeah, I had a sheet of decals with a bunch of different detail decals including several battery decals including Autolite, Interstate, Diehard & a couple others, but no Mopar ones, so I figured the Autolite was as good as any.

Thanks Ben! I'm really happy that such an "unpopular" car like the '64 Chrysler can draw this much attention. Personally, I love this "oddball" subject matter & this one was particularly fun to build.

Yes Bill. you can mask over Alclad. It's really no different than any other lacquer paint. Although it's not as tough as something like Duplicolor. Just remember Duplicolor clear does not play nicely with Alclad! Found that out the hard way! Masking over foil is a little touchier. It all depends on how well your foil is stuck down & what kind of tape you're using. I don't have a whole lot of experience with this, but I would think you'd be fine using a lower tach tape such as Tamiya Or blue painters tape. But, it's kind of a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shoot.
Steve
Thanks Ken! The paints not overdone mostly because I wouldn't know how to do it that way! I'll never have the painting skills that some of the guys on the forum have. I just do my best.
