  1. I scratch build all of my antennas now Bill. I just use pieces of sprue that I heat, stretch & glue together & then shoot them with Alclad. As far as the heater hoses go, I won't pretend to know all of the ins & outs of early 60s Chrysler cooling systems, but all of the reference photos I saw had that "return" hose I guess you could call it, so to be accurate, I added one. Steve
  2. Thanks guys! Wow, I thought this post was long dead! Steve
  3. Wow! That really brings back some memories. My mother had a white '75 Dodge wagon with the wood grain. I'll never forget how my dad constantly complained about how, although it had a 440 in it, how "gutless" it was! Nice work! Steve
  4. I use very little from Testors in spray cans anymore either. Not only is it because of nozzle issues, but my biggest pet peeve is the fact that a company who's making metallic paints exclusively for model cars can't do something about the wildly out of scale metal flakes in their paint! Steve
  5. Come Monday, Jimmy Buffet. Steve
  6. This one should be a breeze! "Tin soldiers & Nixon coming." Steve
  7. "I remember finding out about you, every day my mind is all around you." Steve

  11. Ah....Foghat, Fool for the city! Steve
  12. I should know this one! Steve
  13. "But you've been hidin', & I've been ridin' like the wind to find you." Steve
  14. "Jenny was sweet, she always smiled for the people she meet." Steve
  15. "We get some rules to follow, that & this, these & those," Steve
  16. No wonder I don't know any of these. Madonna?.....Really? Steve
  17. I originally was thinking off white with a pale gold accent color, but I posed the question to the forum & the gray/coral combo was the resounding winner.....so I went with that. I'm just pretending that the original owner owned a coral & gray '55 Chevy & really liked the color combo, so he had this one spruced up by the dealer. Steve
  18. Looks like whoever built the '60 wasn't a hack! nice looking stuff. Do you have all of the parts for the '59? Steve
  19. It should be more prominent once clear coated & polished. Some sun light should help also. Believe me, there's a TON of metal flake in this paint. The nice thing about MCW metallics is the scale of the metal flakes. Not always real evident at first glance, which is the way they should be. Steve
  20. Beautiful!! Steve
  21. There's a pretty nice one on ebay right now, (item # 381196151286) @ $22.00 right now. Steve
  22. Have fun removing the mold lines on this one Rich! The mold lines run right across the double fins! A real joy to get into all the nooks & crannies! Steve
  23. It doesn't look too bad for one of these old promos Bill, but I'm definitely seeing some warpage issues in a few areas other than the "concave" door. The top of the front fender on the drivers side is showing a dip in the center which tells me that the whole front end is warping "upward" which you see a lot on these. Also there looks to be some issues with the rear bumper & the surrounding body area. That could be an issue to try to get looking right. If it were me, I'd skip it & look for a styrene '60 Ford. I've seen a lot of them on ebay. Must have been one of the more popular kits in '60. Just my opinion, but then again, I never buy promos. Steve
  24. Procol Harum is what I was looking for. Get the other 3, win a prize! Steve
  25. I would have been honored to take my drivers test in one of these. I took mine in a '78 LeBaron station wagon! Steve
