New Year's Resolution
mikemodeler replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Maybe on my next trip to Richmond we can work out a deal.............. -
That came out nice- makes me thirsty for some lemonade! I like the color choices and details, especially the spare engine on the stand.

I am liking this a lot! Is that the Revell Snap kit? I have built a few of them in various colors and have a few more to go!

Revell 1956 Chevy Del Ray - Reissue
mikemodeler replied to Erik Smith's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
With places like Ma's Resin or The Modelhaus, I think the need for stock tires can be met if needed and one does not have any in their spares box. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I can see both sides of the argument and I am sure Revell has their reasons for not including them. -
are these kit worth anything
mikemodeler replied to polandmob's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Those kits have no value but being the kind hearted guy I am, I will send you $10 and you can mail them to me knowing that I took them off your hands :D ! I suggest you get with the guys who mentioned a trade and get something you want. -
Pace spray booths on sale?
mikemodeler replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Harry, I remember meeting the owner at the Wheaton show about 7 Februarys ago. Nice guy and I liked the quality of the booth, just didn't have the cash at the time. You might check to see if he will be at a show nearby soon. He might discount the booth if he can bring it along and not pay shipping- it is worth asking! I will be looking at finally getting one after I sell off some kits I don't intend to build. -

Automotive Christmas ornament
mikemodeler replied to Pete J.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Most folks would have taken a hood ornament and drilled a hole in it and called it done! What you did was create something your son will cherish long after the car is gone, nice job there Pete! Merry Christmas -
VCG Resins?
mikemodeler replied to Evil Appetite's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mike, I ordered from Craig earlier this year and his service was fantastic! I sent him a check and I had my stuff within 10 days, something almost unheard of in the resin casting industry due to it being a sidejob for most of the businesses. The items I ordered were in stock and that was known at the time of order. I ordered an engine kit and some snowplow lights and the products were like kit parts, except better! I would order without hesitation again and I will as soon as some of his new items are ready for order. Mike -
Looking for this truck
mikemodeler replied to Hartness28's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That kit was reissued a couple of years ago in yellow, might be easier to find if you are only in need of the truck and not the actual black kit. -

The twelve days of Christmas
mikemodeler replied to Darin Bastedo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
seems like I have missed a few days! I would like to thank those members whom I have conversed with via PM here. I like the fact that we can chat amongst ourselves, share some humor or stories and model related stuff, all without clogging up the forum pages. Not sure if any other forums offer that service, don't really care if they do, I will use MCM's! -
Jim and everyone else that misses the culinary delights of Chicago- there is a website that offers many of the favorites from the Windy City and you can have them shipped overnight to your door. Lou Malnati's Pizza, Portillo's beef and hot dogs,Carson's ribs, Eli's cheesecakes- all ready to ship at TastesofChicago.com. My last trip home Jim I sent my clothes UPS and brought 8 pizzas and a cheesecake home in my carry on bag! Got some funny looks from the TSA but I was "The Man" when I got home ! I will be back after the first of the year to check on my parents and you can bet I will be bringing home some great food again!

AAM duallie parts
mikemodeler replied to Maindrian Pace's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Those appear to be copies of the wheels, tires and bed from the Monogram Ford F350 dually kit. The Modelhaus or Ma's Resins can probably get you the tires if that is what you are looking for. -
Real or Model #181 FINISHED!
mikemodeler replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
I went real, some things just seemed real about the car and it's surroundings. The old fort in the background looks like Harry has been 'shopping again!
