  1. That McLaren looks intriguing, haven't seen that before, what can you tell me about it? Have you built one before?
  2. Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a global site, so someone in Europe might have access to products those of us in the USA don't. As has been mentioned, ask questions, most everyone here is willing to share their knowledge and sources of information and products used.
  3. I have several of those old issue Monogram snap 81 Camaros, will definitely get a few more if for nothing else the decals. That 69 is on my radar and I'll probably grab a couple of the Silverados and maybe that Pulldozer, but it's likely the Mad Mudder which I have a couple of. If they found the top for that Blazer then I am in!
  4. Maybe we can do some trading with Michael? I am sure some of us would love some real Swiss chocolate in exchange for kits in our stash!
  5. Be sure to search the forums, lots of talent and knowledge here. Guys like Niteowl77 have a lot of knowledge on kits new and old and seems to have a source of information on new stuff coming. There are many here who are very mechanically inclined and have engineering know how and have been willing to share it. Acegarageguy seems to be a top source of all things mechanical. Make sure you share your builds, would love to see them.
  6. Do you have any local hobby shops or do you have to shop online? I don't have hobby shops near me so some of my friends have shown me some great online places as well as eBay. What kind of muscle cars do you like?
  7. Welcome, would love to hear about the model car scene over there!
  8. Am I missing something? I tried reading the posts and can't understand what's going on. Meanwhile, I had some last minute projects dropped in my lap an hour before quitting time while I am headed for vacation next week. The joys of being on the East Coast and your boss is on the West Coast and has no idea of the 3 hour time difference.
  9. Motion detected lawn sprinkler. Check it out.
  10. It's a kit that looks complete, box is trashed but parts are all there. I am going to build it.
  11. Sorry, I still have a couple in the stash left over from when Big Lots was selling them for $5.
  12. As soon as I buy a MPC Supra kit off of eBay they go and announce it being reissued! Should have known better, same thing happened last year when I bought the old 78 Ford Bronco Wild Hoss kit. Anybody have other kits they want reissued, let me know and I will buy it off of eBay to help the cause.
  13. That is nice, are those the kit wheels and tires?
  14. Trailer Trash Kustoms is a resin caster/website of parts and kits. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjSvqCnkP72AhWvpnIEHa1FCXgQFnoECAUQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Ftrailertrashkustomz.bigcartel.com%2F&usg=AOvVaw15OQK9loW8qkIyVQ6cp69-
  15. Thanks Casey. I thought it was Niteowl that was the insider, maybe he just knows where to look or who to chat up?
  16. Wasn't there a Nash Bridges version? If not they could issue one for it as well. I'm thinking that whatever they have up their sleeve, they will use it for more than one version, tooling is so expensive and sales aren't what they used to be.
  17. Are you one of the two people Niteowl says works for Round2? I thought he did or had a connection to Round 2 based on his previous comments in posts about model plans from the manufacturers. If you are willing to bet a model stash, it must be pretty large or you are "in the know" and it's a safe bet!
  18. I was asking James (Niteowl) as he seems to have a connection to what's happening with the manufacturers. I think Jonathan is speculating.
  19. Based on this information and your insider contacts....what do you suspect could be coming?
  20. Danny at Scenes Unlimited is having some surgery and hopes to be open by the end of April. Joseph at Fireball is recovering from injuries in a car accident. Both have teased that they are also working on some new stuff for when they begin accepting orders again. Both offer high quality and great service, can't go wrong with either one.
  21. Your best bet will be 3D printed, do not recall seeing those in a kit.
  22. I get that paid time off costs a company, but it costs them more to constantly recruit, train and repeat if they don't value their employees. About 6 years ago I interviewed with General Motors for a field sales/service position. Their benefits were incredible- 3 weeks of vacation on the first day PLUS close to 30 days of leave/holiday/plant shutdown time! I did the math and figured that it came out to about 41 weeks a year that I would actually be working! I would talk to your supervisor/manager/owner and ask if they can do something about the lack of vacation time. Not sure what type of work you do but I would think in the current economy, employers want to hang on to quality employees.
  23. You mean something like this?
  24. Latest news reports state that he had an enlarged heart that weighed about twice a normal sized one would. Also evidence of drugs in the room and in his blood stream. A real shame as he was extremely talented and Dave felt like they were brothers, I am sure this hit him hard. I am not surprised at his death and that drugs were involved, he seemed to embrace that live fast lifestyle and his overdose in London in 2001 should have been his wake up call.
  25. If there is one thing I have learned about the products from Olson Bros, it's that they are worth the wait. The quality is like something you would expect from a kit piece and not some rough casting. Like so many other casters, I am sure the surge in orders, delays in getting supplies and being a small operation has created the perfect storm in overwhelming them.
