Considering the NAPCO was a conversion that could be adapted to various makes, surprised someone hasn't created a resin trans kit to build some? Much like the awesome kit Joseph at Fireball came up with for the F-250, the NAPCO kit could be done in a similar fashion for any of the 50's Ford or GM pickups.

Had a neighbor years ago who had a 2wd K5 Blazer, 1972 model year IIRC. This was back when the 4wd craze was in full swing and we thought he was nuts but looking back, that thing was COOL!

Should build a second one as a plumbing company truck, see a lot of ex-ambulances used that way around here. Nice save, should be nice when done!

I totally get the nostalgia angle and I am sure it will be bought up. I just wonder how many versions one would build?

I know that a lot of people are excited to see this kit make it to the shelf but I can't help thinking why not a wrecker body? There is literally nothing in scale of a medium duty wrecker and seems like a lot of folks would go for one. This kit does nothing for me but if they had a Holmes 500 or 600 wrecker I'd probably buy 3 or 4. Just my opinion.

This makes the most sense with the ability to create multiple versions with minimal investment. I know that wagon kits have become more popular but the GFT seems unlikely. Others have mentioned Jim Rockford's Firebird but I think those tools have been modified to the point of not being able to be used, but I would welcome a new set of mid-70's F body kits!

How cool is that? Now you can build a replica of your car! Be interested to see them posed side by side!

The 63 Nova Wagon was already on my radar screen. Nothing else trips my trigger so I can rest easy and let my bank account recover.

And some were asking for kits that are current or recently reissued and easily found.

I noticed a lot of people were asking for models to be reissued that were Revell tools.

Seems like all of the great guys who were a part of Indy Car racing are leaving us. Last Wednesday Robin Miller, who was a great journalist and deeply involved in open wheel racing passed away from cancer. He has been described as a cranky, crude, foul mouthed guy who had a knack for having the inside scoop on what was happening in the sport and his circle of friends included the likes of Roger Penske down to the guys in the garage. Loved watching him on RPM 2Nite and his insight was incredible. His last interview was with Jimmy Johnson and discussing the switch from NASCAR to Indy Car at Indy earlier this month.

And this was my attempt at recreating that car in scale using the kit decals. Not my best work but it works for a shelf model....

So, if he hacks up kits and rushes through them, he's doing a disservice to the hobby? If he takes his time and builds a trophy winner with exact details, he will have some lose interest because they can't wait for all four episodes to see the finished product? I view this show as entertainment, nothing more. Steve has a ton of knowledge and that is the part of the show that I enjoy. I've been hacking bodies and slathering paint since the early 70's, he and I are about the same age and from the looks of it, at the same skill level! I think it's great that he was able to convince the people at MT to let him do these shows. My guess is that it was super low budget and he barely made any money on the deal. My wife thought it was cool that our hobby got a few minutes on TV as she knows how hard we work on our builds and the time and money invested in it.

Olson Bros will have the 71-73 & 74-75 Scout grilles soon, along with some bumpers for them.

Probably not period correct, but the chassis from the MPC 84 GMC pickup and the 4x4 gear match up nicely under these Revell trucks if you really want a 4x4.

I've noticed a lot of current kits as being out of stock or temporarily unavailable at various online sellers and figure it probably has a lot to do with the shipping situation from Asia and the increased costs to get stuff here. I think some might have thought this was discontinued because Hobby Lobby put them on clearance but more likely they just wanted to change their planogram for the hobby aisle. To your point about stockpiling, I have several set aside for different versions I want to build.

Ugh, why is Round 2 molding kits in color again? The last issues I have of this kit were in that light gray plastic, very easy to paint. Like the Coke C-10 being molded in red, this being in yellow means some extra steps in paint prep.

I shudder to think what that costs. I do like the pickup more that the Blazer.

Some neat stuff for sure, I think the only 69 Camaro version left for them to do is a SS350 or a L-6 ! The Moebius stuff is encouraging, those Novas and trucks are going to ruin my budget!

Or a Chevy. That 65 Nova in the background would look good on the back of that ramp truck.
