Keep in mind that HL only stocks a fraction of what is available from Evergreen. Check the Evergreen website and you may have to order it from a hobby shop. -
'72 GMC Stepside
mikemodeler replied to Plowboy's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Very nice, has that killer stance and very clean details. I have a couple of these in the stash, need to get busy building them. -
Took my oldest child to see them in concert probably close to 15 years ago, it was his first concert. I remember Billy mentioning to the crowd "For 35 years it's been the same three guys and the same three chords" ! It was great show and they opened for Brooks and Dunn. The encore was Tube Steak Boogie with B&D joining ZZ Top for it. The documentary ran the other night and it highlighted how they started and the early years of the band. Did not realize Frank had a bad drug problem but glad to know he cleaned up. Their story telling of discovering MTV 40 years ago was hilarious!

My Moebius Pickup Kit Summary, all 11 of them!
mikemodeler replied to hct728(Bob)'s topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
He has the mirrors, might have the rear axle, the wheels are likely similar to what he included in the original 4x4 kit and tires would have to be made. Not sure if he would do the emblems but probably could. -

He has discontinued the 4wd conversion kit, he had way more orders than he could fill. Not sure what else he could come up with. -

Mega Hobby has this for pre-order at $29.99. -
I have seen some comment that has happened, but is that a HL policy or laziness on behalf of a warehouse worker? And I would think if they sent you the wrong item they would take it back and either refund your money or give you the correct item. When I have gone on their website, if something shows out of stock, I don't believe you can order it.
-
You can always order them online at the sale price. And they have free shipping on orders over $50.

I kind of made mine into a pickup, just chose to incorporate a tonneau cover with mine. Cut the roof just past the door.

That is a nice looking resin piece. I have 4 of his bodies and they are very nice. I wonder what the donor chassis would be for this? -

If it's a true F-250, then the tires should be 7.50 x 16.5 IIRC. Looking at that picture, they do appear to be new caps and look like the ones on my Dad's 71 F-250 he had back in the 70's. The Ramp Truck looks enticing, might have to splurge and get one. -

Found this picture on the Pegasus website today. Looks like they have some different wheels tooled up for this version. http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/p5200/%232564-1968-Ford-F-250-Custom-Cab-1/25th-scale/product_info.html -
The title of this thread was about Model King or Moebius releasing new tool 67-72 GM trucks, not Round2. It's quite possible Round2 took the opportunity to reissue those trucks ahead of any possible new tool kits coming from a competitor or maybe it had been long enough since the last run they figured "Why not?". Moebius is planning on releasing a new kit with the Ford cab and ramp bed that looks to be more accurate than the cartoonish one found in the old MPC kit. One can hope that some all new 67-72 GM truck kits are on their way as the old AMT/MPC kits are lacking in detail. I personally would like to see some Dodge pickups from 68-72 as those have never been tooled up before and should be good sellers.

Haven't seen any updates in 2 months, sure hope he hasn't put this to the side, was really enjoying seeing the cool hand made stuff on this build!

The Official EBay Discussion Thread
mikemodeler replied to iamsuperdan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just started reading this topic and it's been very informative for me. I had resisted the urge to buy or sell on eBay for years but would go there and look at stuff all the time. I finally gave in and made my first purchase earlier this year as something I really wanted was only available on eBay. I have since made a couple dozen purchases but have yet to sell anything. I will likely refrain from selling there as the stories here tell me why I shouldn't. I have some kits and stuff that I would like to sell but will probably just do it via a Facebook group or at a local show. -
That is a great looking model. I have a friend who has one (67 Nickey Camaro) in that color and having been for a few rides in it, can attest to brute power they have.

Latest eBay purchase arrived today, been collecting a couple of these and am done until I get them built!
