  1. While not nearly as brave as NOBLNG to cast my own, I am searching for some Dana 44 or Dana 30 axle center sections to build some upgraded axles for a couple of projects, anyone have a source? I thought I saw some at one time but can't seem to find them.
  2. The US website doesn't appear to have a store function so I would say no. With that said, Hobby Lobby has an online store and the plow truck is shown on the site. Starting tomorrow the models will be 40% off and if your order is over $50 you will get free shipping so it may be a better option if you can't find them locally.
  3. Actually it is the brand of beer that Homer Simpson prefers!
  4. Shown on their website as coming soon, they have added some grilles and bumpers, nice looking stuff as usual. Faster service when ordered on eBay, from my personal experience.
  5. That rig is pretty impressive! I am guessing you have some serious wildfires otherwise why would they build such a beast? I am sure that gets everyone's attention when driving around town!
  6. The good news is that Olson Bros have some parts tooled up for this, including several grilles.
  7. Been trying to log onto their website and get an error message stating "website cannot be reached". Does anyone know if they shut down for vacation or have shut down completely? Like his parents, Chris Holthaus has some excellent product and service, so hopefully he is just taking some vacation, would hate to lose him as a supplier!
  8. Found these on a FB page, guy was selling his late father's collection.
  9. Modelroundup shows this one coming in Late August. Given the shipping delays in the world, likely gonna be September.
  10. Somebody mentioned on another forum that his chrome plating business is closed, anybody know if that is true?
  11. Just did a deal with Youpey, great guy and fast shipping! Hopefully not the last time we trade.
  12. Gonna take more than 2 issues a year for me to subscribe. I will buy at the hobby shop as it comes out.
  13. I have these two resin trucks to build, got them from a FB page and now the seller is on eBay- as shown in Casey's post. He has a lot of different bodies but should note that none of them come with interior, chassis, wheels or drive train. Very nicely done renditions and the only game in town. Might want to contact the seller and see if these will be available again and which configuration.
  14. Been away for most of the week, anyone know of any updates to this? Scale Master hasn't been here in several weeks, anyone know why? He was making great progress and all those detail parts he's been making are incredible.
  15. Fireball Modelworks has a beautiful set of Cragars. They need to be chromed but they are beautiful.
  16. I saw some updates on this on another forum, wonder why Scale Master hasn't posted them here?
  17. I have seen several of his builds here, nothing short of masterpieces. The details he picks out and stuff he makes from scratch, you'd swear it was a real car part shrunk down for models!
  18. Two weeks and no updates? Hope to see some new pictures soon!
  19. This happens all the time. I was at a hobby show swap meet about 5 years ago, it was a month after Ollie's had a big sale. There was a jughead there who had a bunch of Ollie's kits marked up two to two and half times the price he bought them for. Us regulars didn't recognize the seller, they probably had a relative sitting in for them, and needless to say they went home with most of what they brought. There were a few show visitors who made a purchase, but word spread pretty quick about the table of Ollies specials and they were avoided like the plague. On top of it all, the person at the table would not make deals, saying they had to get marked price. These shows have a couple of regular sellers who will often buy up other tables of kits, sometimes to take out the competition, sometimes to add to their inventory, and they even avoided the Ollies seller. There will be a glut of these kits on eBay by tomorrow, if not sooner, from people who scooped up cases of these kits today.
  20. Nope, haven't even seen it advertised for pre-order.
  21. The lack of range and a re-charging power infrastructure will hamper widespread sales of EVs. It will take large investments and subsidies from government to move the needle on increasing the EV population. A recent article in Automotive News showed where 20% of EV owners in California traded their vehicles in on either a hybrid or gas powered vehicle because of the frustration over charging time or driving range. EVs will do well in urban areas or as a second vehicle, but will take some time before they are able to be used on long distance trips. The new F150 has a range of 300 miles and with a load its estimated to be 150 miles, can't see getting excited pulling a trailer if you can only go for 2 hours.
  22. I have one of those in the stash (no box) and the drive train pieces look very familiar to the Revell Plow Truck. I had one of those Ford vans, grabbed it for $15 years ago, sold it for 3 times that a couple of years ago.
  23. Looks like the wheel and tires are plastic molded together, so finding acceptable substitutes might be a bit of a challenge.
  24. Looks nice! Hopefully we will have it here on the shelves before too long. Are the Dune Buggy tires still plastic, same as the trailer?
