  1. That is looking good! The only correction I would make to your post is that the dump box is from Scenes Unlimited, not Olson Bros. I have two of those dump boxes and Danny did a fantastic job of creating them, fills a void in our hobby.
  2. I believe that was the earlier body style, with a sleeper cab and exhaust stacks. May have been a silver or gray truck on the box art.
  3. Hard to believe a shiny truck like that would have a crusty old plow! Nice work!
  4. Kinda surprised that a resin caster never offered a conversion as well.
  5. Modelroundup shows this arriving in March 2022 and is priced at $39.90.
  6. They could use the small block 350 from the 69 Nova Yenko Duece. It even has the non-chambered exhaust that was more common.
  7. From my memory and a few old Monogram kits, I don't seem to recall seeing the Desert Dog tires in any of the kits. Monogram had the harder rubber tires that were labeled Goodyear and whether it was the CJ-7 Jeep, the Chevy & GMC 4x4 pickups or Blazer/Jimmy, they all had the same tire. Could Monogram have snuck them in on one model? Maybe. I had that Sheriff's Blazer but bought it open and it did have Desert Dogs in it, figured the previous owner swapped them in.
  8. That came out great! I have one in my plans to do using the GMC Deserter Chassis, it fits like a glove!
  9. There goes my promise not to buy anymore model kits! Can't wait to get one.
  10. Did you have a specific tire in mind? I have a vast selection of tires (Kit and aftermarket) and those wheels so I could do some mock ups if you give me an idea of which ones you were thinking of?
  11. Well Bill, you're welcome! I bought an original issue Wild Hoss last summer off of FB for $60 and that had to have sent a message to Round 2 that it was time to reissue this kit! I am glad to see it come back, I have a Model King version of this in the stash as well, might grab another kit if there's room in the storage closet.
  12. Looks good from here, digging the crazy paint scheme!
  13. The inner fenders on the Deserter GMC can be used too.
  14. The Revell 64-66 Chevy pick up kits have a more detailed chassis, however they are short beds and need to be stretched to work with the long bed.
  15. Nope! Check out his website at the link and place your order! https://wesmodelcarcorner.myshopify.com/
  16. I ordered last night from Wes's Model Car Corner, likely shipping today with an arrival on Thursday. Best price I have been able to find and fast, cheap shipping too!
  17. The bed was probably the only thing that was "special" as the longer wheelbase chassis already existed and was used with different bodies- dump, stake, and whatever other custom bodies companies created. It's a shame that we didn't get a standard long bed version, but maybe that is part of Moebius's plan for the next series of trucks, the 73-79. Just have to tool up bodies, the chassis and drivetrains are done.
  18. Scenes Unlimited has a very nice dump bed that would work well if Moebius chooses not to offer one.
  19. Most of the tires offered by American Satco are now offered by other casters- Scenes Unlimited & Modelhaus Tires primarily.
  20. Got my order two weeks after placing it, great stuff as always!
  21. Hmmm, decision time for me as to whether or not I want to use the Fireball conversion kits in my stash for those tall boy 4x4s or just build the Moebius kits when they arrive? Like that plow set up, might get a couple of them, more if they are at Hobby Lobby at 40% off! Tim- any word on the rumored small dump or Holmes wrecker bodies for those trucks?
  22. "You're not wrong, but it's just one of those "Is what it is" type scenarios. It's too late to fix it, as the required fix would require scrapping the entire body tool and also the clear runner (to make the windows bigger). Unless they can do something with an optic illusion. "- known forum contributor with hobby insider connections (his claim). Hmmm, maybe it wasn't too late after all? My theory is that we should let those directly involved decide when it's too late and not engage in a game "I know better than you"
  23. So you can thank me for this being re-issued, I bought an open box un-started Wild Hoss kit this summer for $60 thinking they would NEVER re-issue it. It's going to be a tribute build of a friend's Dad's service truck from the 76 station he owned in the 70/80s. I will be picking up another one or two, along with checking out some tires/wheels from the aftermarket.
  24. The gasser and stock versions are shown as coming soon on the Pegasus Hobbies website. $35.99 selling price.
  25. The wheelbase would have to be adjusted. Best bet would probably to start with the 66 Nova PS chassis and trim to fit.
