  1. I'll take a couple pictures along the way. Right now, it's just about cleanup and lots of test fitting, sanding ejector marks... Once it's all done, I'll put a glass post in All The Rest with the more interesting build pictures. That reminds me... I need a display case for this. All the ones I have are for cars!
  2. Going to have to get my credit union accounts realigned, then I'm going to immediately lop 10% off each paycheck to go into my savings account. That is, unless the guy with the MG Midget for $700 would accept payments...
  3. Since I prefer doing things myself and not buying things already done, (where's the fun in that?) going to move this orange VW out today and write what I need to do for it. We have all the parts: body panels, engine parts, lights, doors, glass, emblems, etc. in milk crates and in stacks in the garage attic.
  4. Going to be one of these two, depending on which one works. Wanted something with a relatively low speed, but not too low. If it is too high, I'll have to add a resistor in.
  5. Got the Gee-Bee in the mail today. Nice kit, pretty simple, albeit flash-heavy in places. It'll make a nice little model, especially with the motor I have for it.
  6. I've locked a couple of my topics before. One, my Cal-look Beetle, since I've not felt the urge to finish it and just felt it was right to lock it for the time being. The other one I've locked was about legality of doing a commercial model kit in resin since it was answered pretty quickly and accurately. Wonder how long this topic will last before being locked after veering off-course....
  7. Generic slotted aluminum mags, I'd guess?
  8. Okay, whatever. It didn't specifically say people were being payed. The person in the example would be an organizer, then.
  9. Looks to be that I'm not going to drive the green VW or the Triumph, but instead the orange VW Squareback. I like it better than the green one, anyways... manual transmission.
  10. I was completely stumped on this. I thought it was kinda German-y looking, but couldn't place it. When I saw this comment, "Opel Rekord" immediately sprang into my head. A short trek from there and I arrived at Opel Kapitan.
  11. No, because his example said having different people build sections and have someone assemble an end product. The person in the example had no part in the build except for financier.
  12. If you did that with a model and didn't credit anyone but yourself, it would be plagiarism and you could potentially be sued for writing someone else's work off as your own.

  14. After a physical and a background check, the job at Goodwill is mine!
  15. Printers use pellets or strands of the plastic. Different types of plastic yield different amounts, all of which can be calculated by thickness of finished product and surface area. http://www.filabot.com/collections/frontpage
  16. So, I was going to go stake a nap around four, and as soon as I was dozing off, the phone rang. Interview on Thursday at 3:00.
  17. Good news! Got a call back while I was at school about the job. So now, I just called back about the call back and told them to call me back.
  18. Why do you build the scale(s) you build? I, for one, build 1/24 and 1/25 scales. They're also easily available, easy to find everyday items sized well for scratchbuilding, and is able to be seen well, by that I mean I can build things without a magnifier or small instruments.
  19. Anybody built one yet? How does it fit? http://www.motorcityresincasters.com/KurbmasterStepVan.htm
  20. Well, I'm not really doing this to win. It's motivated me to finish a build, one I'm proud of, and the first one I've out in a display case. I'll message Wagonmaster.
