The body color is Model Master GM Tropical Turquoise. Says it's a '57 Chevy color. Paint's getting another coat (maybe two) of clear today, then when it's dry it'll get sanded, then polished.

On my Beetle build, the paint came out nice, but the clearcoat is rather orange-peely. I only did one coat of clear, and it was ColorPlace clear. Should I wetsand this coat, or do another and wetsand that to make sure I don't wear through? What grit of sandpaper should I use? I have a set of Testor's sanding films that I use for sanding applications; smoothest grit? Thanks in advance.

Flower vase supplied with kit... but no flower. So, I made one with a piece of twisted wire painted green and some sheet styrene scraps.

The exact same thing happened to our Jaguar.

Paint on my Beetle came out really nice... time for clearcoat! Got some decals from ScaleHobbyist. Three day shipping for $3.95, and the decals I got were cheaper by a couple bucks than the very other site I looked on. Might have to use some of the pinstripes for the Beetle....

Paint went on tonight! It's gorgeous, to say the least. A few flaws showed through on the initial coat, but they were sanded down, and now the (presumably) final coat is drying. Pictures tomorrow! Thanks for looking, friends!
