  1. Judging by the weathering, I'd say go for it with making a trailer.
  2. Looks like a dark metallic grey to me.
  3. Hard call... Both colors look real nice.
  4. What color's the interior going to be?
  5. Maybe it was a prank... While one of the guy's buddies was in the John, a whole group got together and robbed pieces off his car they needed, then scarpered!
  6. And, to round out the night, front suspension is in. Thank you, Revell Firebird. This certainly makes putting the engine in easier. What's left to do: - Windshield - Dashboard - Seats - Find the grille - Make a hood or get one - Make some paint cans and brushes for the bed, also general junk - Dry-transfer lettering - Wheels need to be painted - New shifter plate and shifter - Make leaf springs for back and attach to Model T rear axle (yes, seriously)
  7. Right after my last post, I went digging for a gallon Ziplock bag to throw the Scout in with some Purple Power. The only one I could find had a little hole in it, so I had to limit my time with the paint stripping. The Scout languished in the purple pond for a good hour or so while I played Minecraft. Went back to it, and scrubbed most of the paint off. It took most (if not all) of the brown paint off, and some of the black primer. With bare plastic, black paint, brown paint, and blue paint showing, it got a really cool look, like it had been burned out or something. I took the opportunity to add rust powder... chalk pastel. Touched up the trim with a silver paint marker, as well. I'm leaving the red and white part of the For Sale sign on the back wall. It just really looks like a big salvaged piece of metal the guy used to make this custom cab wall over a weekend or something.
  8. After smoothing the black primer, I painted it again with Rustoleum Rusty Metal primer. Looks really heavy in a lot of spots. I may just strip it and paint it one color on bare plastic, like I usually do.
  9. Yowch. High price, but should turn out nice.
  10. A bunch of plastic stock and some decals from Brizio. Have to finish my box truck Datsun so I can out them to good use!
  11. I'm back! The Scout is here again! Bed wall is in! Two roof bars are in, and the bed surrounds are, as well. Bed surrounds are 5/32" I-beams, square rod along the bed wall is .060 x .060, and the roof bars are 1/16" rod. Bed wall is made of For Sale sign styrene. Primer is Rustoleum Dark Grey automotive primer. It has just enough cr-ppy-looking spots to please me. Engine that should be going into it is a 409 with triple carbs and finned covers. Rescued it from the parts box the other day and painted it.
  12. Get these beautiful builds in the light!
  13. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland makes the old parts pack ones in resin, I think. If you look back in the questions section, there are a few lengthy threads in this same topic.
  14. Love it. One of my favorite cars.
  15. Yeah, I've just been distracted, and waiting to go to the LHS for some tubing to adapt the wheels to the spindles. Hopefully, I'll be able to do that today while I'm sending a package out to Clayton.
  16. Congrats, Jim! Here's your stone! Cast it well!
  17. If you can't afford styrene, pick up a few For Sale signs at Walmart or a bargain outlet. You can get a nice-sized sheet of styrene this way for about a dollar.
  18. Awesome update!
  19. Bert kinda reminds me of Trevor from GTA V...
  20. Hopefully they disconnected the driveshaft!
  21. And wouldn't a completely accurate kit bring more buyers than one "good enough," thus leveling the production costs?
