  1. Lookin really good tom. The mirrors have been my kryptonite so to speak, ive learned to just set them aside and devote special time for them. This is gonna look good with the trailer
  2. I know it, good stuff, HA! Once i get around to ordering the suspension from auslowe, ill post my 48' scratch spread axle flatbed. Im still tip toeing into scratch builds. Learnin things, still need to find places to get styrene, sheets, strips, and what not, in more than my LHS and bigger than what green sheet offers. Id love to do a cozad with jeeps and flip axle. Ill be following progress on this.
  3. Jiminy Christmas Terry. Youve been busy. Thats gonna be absolutely awesome. Your definitely not of the "glue on the windshield" group. Very nice work.
  4. Welcome, i too have been lookin for the same tires, just like the 1s from the cornet/super bee kit, and have done what you dont want, bought the kit just to bash it. You are in a very good place to search, and get help. Good luck, if i come across a set i will help you out
  5. This is lookin good bud. Im not a ford guy, but it looks awesome. Amazing detail, all around. Very nice work.
  6. Very nice. Hope my thames wagon turns out this nice
  7. Very nice work. Detailing looks awesome!
  8. Thats what this is for, im a drag racer to the core. My 1st car was, i still have it, a 73 camaro, small block 406, 411s and a posi, roll bar, line lock, battery in the trunk, manual valve body in a built turbo 350. To get me to fall asleep as a baby my parents would drive me around in a tubbed vega with the same motor and rear end gears. My dad put eye bolts in the floor to strap my car seat in. This build will be fun, every aspect of it, all the cars and the dio. Gettin giddy thinkin about it, gonna start on a willys, probably the big john, this weekend.
  9. I sure will do some research, i just found out today that where ive been delivering 2 loads a day for the last 4 years is literal the next street west from where lions drag strip was. Im sure gonna dig deep to find some old gassers and probably sling shots too. Id love to get down to big daddys museum someday. I know im gonna be hard pressed to build an "accurate" gasser because i know if they blew a motor they replaced it with the next readily available motor, buick, mopar, chevy whatever. I want to do the more noticable cars/ names for those who are not deep into drag racing. But i will for sure do some more obscure cars too. Like i said any help would greatly appreciated. Links, pics, videos, whatever, as i will be digging deep.
  10. Even the slinging in the wheel well
  11. Welcome, and hope she will build with ya and enjoy it.
  12. Thanks. I want to do the dark blue SWC car. Ultimately im wantin to do a a starting line dio with the SWC and big john mazmanian cars with some old gassers and nostalgia funnys in the staging lanes. I really should take trip to the NHRA museum, its free since im a member and its only an hour away. Thanks for the help. And thanks in advance to anyone who helps. If any can help with pics from the late 60s 70s drag racing. Support vehicles, safety safari, race cars and haulers id really appreciate it, pm or email, i think my email is listed on here
  13. Is this kit an accurate 1 to put stone woods and cook decals on, or is it too different.
  14. Those down bars between the tubs should go to the chassis somewhere between the rear end and the end of chassis, kinda like the bars that go through the fire wall to the chassis in front of the upper a-arm mount, those bars come from the bar that goes from the upper halo down by the dash to the floor. This post is gonna be very helpful. I recently picked up the 1st issue of this car, ALMOST considered bashing it, then i realized i should build it, just how it was intended. Ill be following and watching this 1 progress.
  15. Amazing styrene work Terry. Ive got a potential scratch build coming up. Ill definitely be picking some brains. Awesome detail, nice work
  16. Absolutely awesome man. 1 of the nicest builds ive seen since ive been on here.
  17. The bigger brake can goes on 1 drive axle. Thats the brake can that is used when the brakes are set, basically the parking brake.
  18. Very nice chuck, a clean simple build. Nice job
  19. A couple of these would be great too, since the dream is BIG The truck you can kinda see to the right is just like the red trucks pulling that big trailer, to give you a sense of size
