Moebius Plymouth tires on eBay
Petetrucker07 replied to ChrisBcritter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Moebius may have put out a tire set like they did with the Big Rig rims and tires. -

Looks great Jarda. This is an awesome build. -
Great work Chris. I'm sure the addition of the molding will really make this pop.

Thanks JT. The red it's molded in was the right color, so I went with it. The mold on these is really nice, pretty much no lines. I'm gettin antsy to see this, well anything on my bench as of late, done. A little bit more paint work, then this will be done. Hopefully tomorrow night it'll be under glass. I couldn't resist setting the body on, gives me an idea of what it'll look like.

Thanks Terry. I'm pretty happy with the results. This was my first time doing this kind of styrene work. This kit has so much potential, it just needs someone willin to put a little extra work in on a snapper. Oscar, that's exactly what I was goin for. I'm not a Ford guy, but have always liked the look of the Rough Riders team.

Again, George hired the best, for HIS shop. All those cars said Barris Kustoms, not Built by George. Give the man respect. He passed away, quit pissin on the man. He was a flawed human being, like the rest of us. He did some amazing things. It's a shame people feel the need to stomp on him after he's gone. I don't think anybody is groveling at his feet. I'm a fan of anything cool. I don't remember anybody doing this to Boyd after he passed. His guys did the work, he took credit for it. So that's ok?

Thanks for the comments guys. Since work kept me from getting things together for the show today, figured it's a good time to get to the bench. I made the rear light bar mounts. I roughly set it in place. Next up for the day.. prime, paint and hopefully finish. Here are a few pics of the light bar set up.

Late 60's White Freightliner

Looks great so far. I've been wanting to make a dual vertical intake system on one of my COE builds. Looks easy enough. The 352 I started may get it. I like how you made the fuel tanks even, that drove me nuts AMT did that. So change every one I do. The rear light bar looks awesome. This has just enough "cool" stuff on it to be just right. I like it. -
^Exactly. The sticker applied to the cars that came out of HIS shop said Barris Kustoms. Not built by me, George. Barris Kustoms is a brand, of sorts, the people employed by George, at Barris Kustoms built the cars. I just can't believe that these controversies have laid idle for how long? Now, some of the first post here after his passing have been bashing the man. That, is just unbelievable. No respect for a talented man, talented businessman, and an employer with an for talented car customizers.

Future Possible Moebius Semi Trailer Kit?
Petetrucker07 replied to chuckyr's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
That would be awesome if they would do it. We can only hope they have it in the works. I would buy as many as i could, i know id buy a case right away. I think with the demand, at least shown on here, they're gonna keep it a secret till or if they get test shots. Same goes for any truck except versions of what is already being produced. -
For us here in Cali, we don't get out of bed for a 4.er. It barely gets a mention in passing on the nightly news. I've been through a few, the Landers and Big Bear quakes, which were very close to our house 10 miles or so and Northridge. The Landers and Big Bear quakes were wild. I was 10. But I still remember how much it shook everything, then the rolling afterwards. If I remember right it was a 7.3 and Big Bear was a 6.5.

New "Jay Leno's Garage" series
Petetrucker07 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
What has advertising been like for his show. I haven't seen anything. Once mentioned on the Howard Stern show, followed by Howard bashing Jay since he doesn't like him. Then on here. I have not seen one commercial promoting it at all. If I'm not alone, then that would explain some of the problem. Then being on CNBC with the said format of news, finance and politics, then try to throw a car show in the middle of it? Doesn't exactly make sense, at least to me. -
I think the Revell wheels as something to do with it. I could be wrong.
