  1. Thanks again every one...
  2. Rust never sleeps, great looking rig you have there. (The tires could have been sanded down some)
  3. I have several black market connection I could never revile, for fear of death!
  4. Thank you all. This time around I shortened the bed and flip the rear fenders, also added 58 Chevy tail lights. Scratch built a panel under the tail gate to connect the fenders and close things up some. The drivers door is hinged now along with the hood, instead of being glued! That's a fresh coat of Tamyia Black on the body, polished and waxed. I also re-painted the chassis but left it the way it was. Just replacing the old Boyd wheels with a set from Pegasus. The interior is the same I added some tape for seat belts and the color is oil rubbed dark grey primer. The only thing I did not do was change the glass, Maybe some day! Not to bad for a model that is almost 15 years old...
  5. I tried to keep as much of the original build as possible. But added a few updates and subtle body mods. Thanks for looking...
  6. The inspiration... As built in 1998... And now...
  7. Well done, looks real nice. Love the story also!
  8. I decided to leave the skirts alone because of the risk of ruining the panels. I thought about the Caddy lights but have the same concerns as with the skirts. At this point I would hate to damage the body. I may be going more traditional with the tail lights. Here is the engine...
  9. A little interior work...
  10. Thankful this one is almost finished! Might just get'r done this weekend...
  11. That looks real good. Kinda like a real deal, missing parts so make a race car!
  12. Perhaps he is pregnant and that was the only way to write him out of the script....
  13. The steering wheel is on the wrong side...
  14. Thanks Fred, but I believe it is to late. There is little hope for mankind! We'll just have to keep arguing over what to call Ebay...
  15. I believe my point has been mistaken. Today's version of what the term "Rat Rod", to me any way means, is just building a "Junk Rod." Ed Roth being the true creator of the "Rat" rod and custom culture. He built some of the best customs ever produced and also many daily drivers rolled out of his shop as well. Personally I hate the term!
  16. With all the hype, chatter and BS surrounding the Rat Rod kraze. Thought I might remind everyone who the "FIRST" Rat was. Nothing old, crusty, rusty or beat about it! What we see today does not come close. Making a new Rod look old is fake, making an old Rod look new, well, that's doing something. http://www.ratfink.com/ed-roth-outlaw.php Long live the R.F.
  17. ^^^ Most likely a Wal-Mart employee!^^^
  18. This looks real good. Looks like you left the chassis is bare plastic, nice touch.
  19. I never call it evilbay any more, it's FEEbay now!
  20. Thanks guys. I was able to rescribe both sides as well. Only I glued a spacer and guide on a #11 blade and pulled it backward. Lightly!
  21. Had a little window of warmer weather so I got a good base on the Ford yesterday... Wet sanding and final paint to follow....
