  1. Impressive, as everything else you do. I raise my hat and bow my head. ?
  2. A beautiful Rapid Cruiser...
  3. In any case, I like the wheel I made so I'll use it. it will be a MKIII.?
  4. Went to Wal-Mart this morning and there was the same truck stting in an aisle. Now I know why I could not figure the drawing. There are two wheels, one on either side of part 27, and they only show one.. So I can start again or use my improvised design above. We'll see.
  5. Coming from a master fabricator, that is high praise indeed.
  6. In mine, I had glued sanspaper to the floor initially, then it curled up. So I just painted the plywood light gray and rubbed it with graphite.
  7. My design looked good but it put the truck too high. Part of the problem was the wheel which is bigger than that on the drawing. So I cut here and there and obtained something reasonable.
  8. I can't quite figure out the wheel pivot/support arrangement from the drawing so I'll improvise. Putting bits together.
  9. I think at that scale , one could do some serious detailing.
  10. X2 and I like your Ferguson tractor too.
  11. I put one together around 1962. It had been a Christmas gift. I wish I could help you but I don't remember the details. I wish I had another one.
  12. Tom Geiger's topic about personalized Christmas ornaments made me think of this frame I am building for my grandson. In the 30's my Dad worked at CCM making hockey sticks. He made some small ones and built an ashtray stand for himself and each one of his siblings. Now we were looking for a job for it as no one smokes. It is too small and wobbly for a flower pot so I decided to make a frame to hold my grandson's annual team picture. So he'll have a frame made with sticks that his great grand father buiult over 80 years ago. I'll hang the third blade below and it will have his name and number.
  13. Oops! The braces to hold this have to be on a sleeve so the pivot can rotate. Back to the drawing board.
  14. This siren like affair which was part of the Tamyia garage set will make a nice pivot for the wheel.
  15. What can I say? The bar just went up about 750 notches.
  16. Started cutting tonight on the pallet truck. Turns out the drawing came out to scale, so I just copy directly. Rummaged for bits to use as well as the regular styrene bits. The wheel hub is a slice from an old internet router housing screw post and the tire is a slice from a cheap tire pressure gauge barrel.
  17. Nice. Must be expensive.
  18. Perhaps once you've moved we can find out where two down then left is.? We are considering a move too. I may even get to attend the odd model show.
  19. Oldsmobile OW-43. DOHC V8, 455 cu.in/ 700 hp.
  20. Project complete. This is supposed to be a representation of Oldsmobile's OW-43.
