  1. 000 AAA!
  2. This puts a smile on my face.
  3. Welcome to the MCM forum. If you have a question, I'm sure someone here can answer it! Feel free to post your models!
  4. Hey, it's always good to plan ahead! That's pretty sharp... I was thinking maybe a few shades lighter on that green though. EDIT: Looked at a few cars on the good ol' Google and found these. These are truly beautiful cars.
  5. Bread clips Gift cards might work Plastic spoons will work with enough sanding Try deodorant caps, some might be thin enough to use Vacuum formed blister packs that sometime come with toys Fiji water bottles are square, those might work. Or even just water bottles in general Look around, you'd be surprised
  6. 1969 AMC AMX. Fire-engine red. 390. 4-speed. Rebuilt in our garage. Painted, piece by piece, by my father and then re-assembled. My earliest memories are with that car. "Helping" (what my mom called it) my dad. It was probably just getting in the way haha. The Bullit Mustang and the 68 Charger... The Greatest Car Chase in the History of Car Movies! Dom from F&F's Charger. Pure testosterone. Hurts even more to see it crash today. 1970 AMC Javelin. Parts car. Had it when I was 5 or 6. Remember going out to get it. It showed me that not all cars have to be shiny and running to be cool. I remember sitting in it, with the mothball smelling interior, holding the steering wheel and acting like I was going around a race track lol. 1965 (???) Ford Custom. Dark metallic blue, no clear. Rust and patina. Rebuilt 427. Straight piped. Car was just, it was just perfect.
  7. You do excellent work Harry. Have you given thought to a color scheme? I'm feeling a olive-ish green with black fenders or maybe a yellow?
  8. I give up on my Mustang! hahaaha Great job Mark. Every model you do is museum quality.
  9. Did it say Javelin AMX? I know a couple of toy-makers call them that.
  10. That's a great looking model John. I don't understand the uproar about this kit? What is wrong with it?
  11. The guy who built it was feature in a Youtube episode of /Drive (which sadly went over to a paid subscription recently) Watch it if you like!
  12. WOW! Congrats on all the stuff that's happened within the last 2 months! The engine bays looks like it belongs in the real car. Smart idea with the cigarette packages.. Looks absolutely amazing.
  13. Cool! Maybe make some rot holes through the trailer bed? Would add to the "rusty farm runner" feel to it.
  14. Ahhh, gas caps in weird places... Confusing people since forever.
  15. Hey, we don't allow those kinds of images here
  16. The way most people here (IMO) see the "tuners" is ricers. THIS is a tuner. Tuners are like promods, they have performance upgrades that do good things for the car, while mostly maintaining the "stock" look of the car. This car is also a good example of "stance" or "fitment" This is not a good example of "stance" or "fitment" Yes, this probably took a lot of time, work, and elbow grease to achieve, but it does not help the car, and probably harms it more. THIS is a ricer. Ricers are like the back page of the Auto-Trader that no one looks at. Ricers sacrifice performance, drivability, and basically the overall look of the car to put over-sized wings, ridiculous body kits and flamboyant paint jobs(and not in a good way, either). Usually, these cars are typical cars you see everyday on the road. Most of the time, they have no performance upgrades to them, and usually have snap on rims that go over the steelies underneath.
  17. Looks solid!
  18. Looks great, but maybe sand the slicks? It'll make the tires look more realistic.
  19. Doc! This is on a whole different level of awesome! Wish I would've thought of it first
  20. British Green Metallic by Model Masters (enamel) is a pretty close match, although it has hints of gold flake in the paint..
