  1. A classic! Looks good with the white roof.
  2. Spent some time polishing the truck today. Also have the grille and headlights in, but not glued in place on the chassis yet. I was abit disappointed with the decal for the tailgate as after I àpplied it there was silvering and I didn't have any decal set on hand. Not a deal breaker tho'.
  3. Very nice!
  4. Love that rolling chassis!
  5. I've done the same as Tom. I left a cautionary note on the lid to warn anyone in my shop that it contains nasty contents.
  6. Thanks guys. Rich, I've messed up too many paont jobs with clear, which has always been an orange peel nightmare! The paint I have on my project seems O.K. to my eye, but I wanted it to be a bit more shiny, and I have a decal for the tailgate. Guess I'll try polishing first, then the decal as per your advice. Thanks again!
  7. I think Art is correct....they appear to be reversed rims to my eye. There are other kits with "steelies" and white walls, and for rings there is the AMT '49 Ford, and the '53 Ford pickup has small centre caps as does the Revell '29 rat rod pickup II RC. If you desire baby moons, I believe the AMT '56 Ford came with them.
  8. I don't use decals too often, and I was wondering if I should place the decal in place before my finishing polish...or polish first, then apply decal?
  9. Looks good with no hood Ray, but I would get the bandaids out and give the hood a try, just to see. Could look cool.......
  10. That's a sharp looking old Chevy! The colour is spot on in my book. Saw your truck today also, and it looks great! Nice work.
  11. Thought I would compare my old (1979) yellow '34 with my new build. Tried to line up the cabs.
  12. Still diggin' this a lot! Keep it up!
  13. Hey Stacy! Glad to hear you're back into building model cars. It's a great hobby and this is a good place to learn stuff.
  14. I converted the "ZZ Top" '34 coupe into a slot car, and placed open louvers in the deck lid for allowing some air to escape ( for quicker E.T. s). And like Greg said, "They look bitchin' ".
  15. Went to my LHS to check on my order of '29s that I ordered....(still not here!!). The owner knows I'm into car kits, and asked if I would be interested in a Monogram '32 Ford that was incomplete, but said there were some other bits in the box. I had a very quick glance in the box, and agreed to give him $5 Cdn. Most of the '32 was there, along with 3 pickup boxes from the '34 Ford kit. And the bonus was a build up of the AMT '29 Ford roadster! Put a big grin on my face!
  16. Fabulous build ! Clean, great colour and very cool title! And so much more!
  17. Nice looking build!
