  1. Too bad about McCormick's closing. The end of a great era! Some of my 1st purchases were from Mrs. McCormick back in the early 60s. She would always ask if you needed any glue or brushes after every purchase. What a sweetheart. Never went in when the current guy took over...just a personal thing.
  2. Looks like you're doing fine for an O.F.!
  3. Well, there goes more of my modelling budget! Count me in!
  4. That looks really good! Great chop and the wheels and rake are excellent! Like you, I like fenderless rods, but this looks terrific!
  5. Nice job on a very cool truck! I like the open cowl vent. Could you disclose the origins of the frame please? And if possible, more photos?
  6. 1/32 scale Malibu wagon. Started as a police sedan (Backdraft?)
  7. Great idea!
  8. Looking forward to this Ray. Lay down a killer paint job!
  9. Went for a small drive in the countryside to a town north of here and bought a small bag of CHOCOLATE treats! Really worth the drive, but especially on such a beautiful day!
  10. I'm always impressed with your clean builds! This is no exception. Very nicely done!
  11. This is the front of the car. Ed used a '58 Chev fitted to the Merc. The rear is indeed the custom option from a '57 Chev. Keep in mind, this was built in the EARLY 60s by a Canadian kid. I liked his attitude!
  12. Really nice work! Nice to see the brake lines also. Can't wait to see the finished car!
  13. My friend Ed built this back in 1963. After much history with the model, I was given the car after Ed passed away 3 weeks ago. It will remain tnis way.
  14. Welcome Daniel. Like the look of the rat sedan. Cool.
  15. That should build up into a real beauty Ray.
  16. There's a few there that I'd like. Nice box art...good memories!
  17. Thank you gentlemen. A dear friend passed away about 3 weeks ago, and left me his 'stash'. I knew he had the tall t many years ago, and apparently was available in the mid 70s, but I was sure he had his much earlier. And I bought mine when it was released a couple years ago. We both knew a guy that had a 1:1 hot rod back in the day.
  18. Very cool looking Corvair!
  19. Could anyone here tell me when this AMT kit was first released? (Tall top)
  20. Really sweet! Nice paint also.
  21. I was hooked on AMT kits in the beginning in 1/25 scale. Took me a while to discover Monogram 1/24, and I grew to really like it. But I will swap between scales if it works. What if AMT changed over to 1/24 scale? It will likely never happen. (BTW...would Group 25 change their name to Group 24?)
  22. Nice improvement on the panel lines! Cool looking car BTW.
