  1. You certainly have my attention! Can't wait!
  2. That's a nice colour. And a '32 roadster too! Cool.
  3. Thank you all for your great comments! Greatly appreciated!
  4. My sincere condolences to you and your family Kerry.
  5. Thanks for your input guys. I've been finally getting photos of my old builds, so just thought I'd share them with you. A lot of the work is pretty dated, but then, so am I.(haha). Still LOVE building models after all these years, although I doubt that my current work will be nearly as good as before. But I think...keep it diverse, do your best, but mostly....HAVE FUN!!!
  6. From the 1990 vault...AMT '49 Merc with a '87 T-Bird nose, a '77 Camaro roof and rear glass and scratch-built rear deck, taillight and lower pan. The car was sectioned a scale 3" and the wheel covers are buttons. The interior has a '77 Camaro dash, '63 Lincoln steering wheel and a "car phone" (Ever see those?. haha) The interior is also upholstered using suede and velour powder. Colour is a custom mix resulting in Salmon to match the suede. Wipers are hidden in boxes in front of the windows and the washer fluid lines go to the nozzles on the hood. Thanks for looking.
  7. I believe I can only do 1 post photo at a time, so please bear with me.
  8. Welcome back to the 80's! This started as the ZZ Top car. Originally I wanted it to be powered by a 930 Porsche, but after difficulty in fitting it at the rear, I went with the '55 Ford Panel truck engine. But I kept a number of other items from the Porsche, including the wing and numerous interior pieces. The nose was lengthened by adding the front section from a '41 Plymouth on the top, and (after numerous fails), I managed to fit a new nose. The interior is upholstered as is the trunk. Pieces from numerous models contributed headlights, mirrors, wheels etc. Thanks for strolling down memory lane!
  9. Thought I'd show another view of the '33 Ford coupe....Altered. That was my first attempt at deck louvers. The wing is aluminum tubing and styrene. There's a faint amount of "rubber" on the rear from my burn-outs.
  10. Hello. Another view of the '53 Studebaker Pro Mod.
  11. Thanks Blair. Yes, it's a challenge putting a new twist on the iconic '34, so I thought the box and using the 348 engine would possibly make it a bit different. At this point, the colour will probably be a deep red or possibly Testor's Guards Red. I have a few of these '34s, a couple from way back in the days that AMT made the kit. I loved this truck back in the 60's...still do. And there are many beautiful examples of this model found right here. Always puts a smile on my face!
  12. The undercarriage of the '30 Packard. Thanks for your nice compliments.
  13. Wow! Now that's LOW!! I'm also diggin' the twin chrome strips and twin aerials. Sort of keeps the theme. Nice foil work also!
  14. I'm having some difficulty finding the paint I need for this project, so I may just proceed with my current supplies. So, just another photo of the '34.
  15. Hello. Thanks for the nice comments. Here's another photo of the Packard.
  16. Very nice looking ragtop. Nice colour also.
  17. A bit more to show you Rob. The older Lindberg cab has been chopped and channeled. The engine I chose was the 348 Chevy from the '58 AMT Chevy. The box is scratchbuilt and has red chestnut stain on the balsa floor. I used C channel from Evergreen to separate the planks. The grille will have mesh insert. The wheels and tires are from the Monogram '31 Model A. There's more, but I'll show other stuff later in the build. Thanks for your interest.
  18. This is a photo of the frame for another new build on my bench. The side rails are from old AMT '32 Ford roadster (front), and Vicky (rear). The rear has been stepped and C'd. Round tubing to beef up the trans mount. The rear has been raised to accept a scratch built short box. Thanks for looking.
