  1. More photos....please Ray?
  2. Thanks so much for the information guys. I'll get back to let you know my results. Hope it has satisfactory effect.
  3. Thanks! My LHS informed me that "Model Master Metalizer" paint could not be imported into Canada. I loved the stuff, but if I can't get it, guess I'll try something else. Then they told me of the Humbrol paint, and that it could be polished out. Just picked it up today and haven't had the opportunity to try it out. Do you have any additional suggestions on how to get good results? I appreciate you info!
  4. Nice lookin' truck.....colour suits it well!
  5. Has anyone here used this product? Can it be polished out? I have aluminum.
  6. Love your choice of wheels and tires and how they're finished. Colour is great and I also like the vent holes in the hood.
  7. Oooooh! I'm going to like this indeed! Never thought of using the '38 parts and lowered chassis on the panel. Great idea!
  8. I'm lovin' it! Stan, that is gorgeous. Can't wait to see it on all fours!
  9. '37 Ford cab-over "phantom".
  10. That's lookin' Ol' School COOL!!
  11. Really looking forward to this build!
  12. Good one
  13. Thank you for your kind responces. It could have been waaay better, but it got me goin' again.
  14. For me, model building has been a way to have the types of real cars I'd own, if I were rich. And I've always had the space for lots of models, whereas, what would I do about parking a bunch of real cars? Building models has allowed me to learn about things that I never thought about too much otherwise. Things like mechanics, art ( colour, form etc.), and thinking things through to achieve a finished car. That's why scratch building appeals to me. It's good for the brain to figure stuff out, without an instruction book. And ultimately, all these thoughts may just delay the dreaded alzheimers, just being creative. Sure would be nice to bring some kits to "the home" LOL.
  15. Thanks Carl. Love the Avitar...doggie dentures lol ! Thanks Jake!
  16. Good luck with this project! I know I'll be watching for sure!
  17. Mostly on older cars, but putting round headlight lenses in with both sides matching, and the lenses straight, especially when they have a "grid".
  18. I agree with the positive comments above. That's quite the "undertaking" you have there!
  19. Can you get the BIG grin off your face? Nice score!
  20. It's really nice to see old builds. It gives us a look at how we (used to) build, and maybe where we can (or did) improve. Your truck looks pretty fine to me, even though you built it years ago. Lotsa cool stuff...like the grille!
  21. This shot shows a little bit of the seats and also the front end. I have to send a separate photo in a moment.
