  1. Awesome! Great colors. Looks better than the real truck.
  2. I remember your first post about this wrecker. It has come a long way. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=100952 Congratulations on your award! Well deserved.

  4. Thank you guys (and ladies??) for looking. Any suggestions are also welcome.

  7. I had done this Mack some months ago but wanted to try a steerable lift axle. So I modified it a little. It was easy as the wheelbase was already long enough for the extra axle. I want to thank Steve (Muncie) and Brian who gave me some valuable information here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101078
  8. Man this is incredibly beautiful! Wish I could build like this. Funny cars are a special kind of car for me. Excellent build. How much you want for it?
  9. Thanks Steve. I appreciate your input.
  10. So, Steve (Muncie), according to your explanation this set up would be inaccurate, right? The steering lift axle is too close to the rear wheels., right?
  11. Great information! Thank you guys.
  12. By what I see in this image lift axles are steerable, but how do they steer? And would the steering rod be facing to the back or to the front? I'm trying to make one from scratch for one of my model trucks.
  13. Started working with them last night and they really work.
  14. My favorite kit of all times. That was my first truck build as a teenager around 1979 and in that kit I found theTruck'em up poster order form and placed an order for two posters. I'll be watching your progress. I recently built the reissue. Look at my avatar.
  15. Great answers. Thank you much for the video and photos. I just got a set of picks from Hobby Lobby. Never used them before and was wondering. Thank you guys!
  16. Anybody uses dental picks to cut styrene plastic? Do they really work? If not, what do you use for cutting?
  17. No. Just started. Planning to do the Consolidated Freightways. In the green and red scheme, single drive.
  18. Thank you Tom. Now I got all the measurements I needed. I'll be doing some cutting to the regular cab. Thanks all!
  19. Thanks guys. What you mean by BBC Ray?
