  1. Looks so clean. What did you use for the front flares on the front fenders? I'm working on this kit myself now and been wondering about those flares as they don't come in the kit.
  2. Looks ok to me. Mine is exactly like yours.
  3. They don't go together. They go like an inch apart from each other. And yes, they are one piece only each.
  4. I wish I had known before, to request the day off at work. Too late now. I've been to that museum a couple of times.
  5. Thank you Dan! I bought the Lindberg (IMC) trailer and ended up cutting half of one of the halves. So now it is approx 13 inches long. I want to make a 28' trailer, single axle. Still in progress.
  6. Man I wish I had seen your photo before. The problem is made worse just because of the rivets as you don't want to remove them by sanding them thinking they are accurate.
  7. I'll do what you suggested. Leave the brake drums out. Oh and the cab release levels also.
  8. Thanks Sean. This paint scheme was called "Elizabeth" back in the 70's. Freightliner had a bunch of names for different color schemes. You also mentioned about the front axle being too wide. You said that just in time as I haven't done the wheels yet and I didn't noticed that. Thanks!
  9. The roof is the only problem I had with this kit. I did a horrible job. It needs an expert to fix it.
  10. Man, you are an artist. This is beautiful. Funny cars are my favorites since childhood.
  11. Yes, I use Testors Clear Gloss lacquer (Not "High Gloss"). It's not as shiny as the "High" enamel but it works fine and no yellowing.
  12. James, you just gave me an idea. I might do just that too. Never thought of that before. Thanks!
  13. Couple of years? Mine yellowed instantly. At least don't use it on light colors, specially white. I used the Testors High Gloss clear enamel.
  14. That's easy. My second Mack Cruiseliner. I did one when they first came out in late 70s. I bought the reissue couple years ago and painted it just like my first one (as the box art).
  15. They don't answer emails either. They do make nice decals though. I've ordered from them before.
  16. I use brake fluid. Immerse the part on a bowl and soak it with this fluid and then clean it with soap and water and let dry.
  17. This really nice and different!!!!
  18. This is a great tip right here.
  19. All I can says is, WOW! It looks beautiful.
  20. Why don't you try spray paint? It will yield better results.
  21. I have done three of these. No glue required (Snap-Tite) even when the box says you need it.
  22. Also one of the few kits I've seen that the doors actually open.
  23. Love rotary power. Is the carbon fiber painted, decal or how did you do it?
