  1. Thanks Sean. This paint scheme was called "Elizabeth" back in the 70's. Freightliner had a bunch of names for different color schemes. You also mentioned about the front axle being too wide. You said that just in time as I haven't done the wheels yet and I didn't noticed that. Thanks!
  2. The roof is the only problem I had with this kit. I did a horrible job. It needs an expert to fix it.
  3. Man, you are an artist. This is beautiful. Funny cars are my favorites since childhood.
  4. Yes, I use Testors Clear Gloss lacquer (Not "High Gloss"). It's not as shiny as the "High" enamel but it works fine and no yellowing.
  5. James, you just gave me an idea. I might do just that too. Never thought of that before. Thanks!
  6. Couple of years? Mine yellowed instantly. At least don't use it on light colors, specially white. I used the Testors High Gloss clear enamel.
  7. That's easy. My second Mack Cruiseliner. I did one when they first came out in late 70s. I bought the reissue couple years ago and painted it just like my first one (as the box art).
  8. They don't answer emails either. They do make nice decals though. I've ordered from them before.
  9. I use brake fluid. Immerse the part on a bowl and soak it with this fluid and then clean it with soap and water and let dry.
  10. This really nice and different!!!!
  11. This is a great tip right here.
  12. All I can says is, WOW! It looks beautiful.
  13. Why don't you try spray paint? It will yield better results.
  14. I have done three of these. No glue required (Snap-Tite) even when the box says you need it.
  15. Also one of the few kits I've seen that the doors actually open.
  16. Love rotary power. Is the carbon fiber painted, decal or how did you do it?
  17. Same here. I imagine they could also fade the paint.
  18. Hey Tom (Miatatom), I know of a guy with a case similar to yours. He did a hole in the wall and put the case in the hole so the case frame was flush with the wall.
  19. Yeah, those cabinets fill up pretty quick, specially when you build semi trucks. Imagine the guys who do airplanes?
  20. This one is on my "to buy" list. I did one back in the 70s or early 80s when they first came out. Keep us updated.
  21. And the most expensive I've ever seen.
