  1. The one I'm looking for. I'm not 100% sure if it was molded in orange.
  2. You would not believe how much I paid for mine.
  3. Hi Pierre. I'm from Puerto Rico also (Caguas). Welcome to the forum. You will find all the help you'll need here, and then some more. This is a great forum. I see modified Japanese cars like your model here in Florida all the time.
  4. I was looking at it at Walmart but it looked too thick. I ended up buying a white Nylon thread. I have to paint it but I guess it will do.
  5. Thank you guys!
  6. I'm working on a 1/25 Peterbilt wrecker but it does not include the towing cable. What's a good "steel cable " for this scale?
  7. Thank you. That's what I'll do also.
  8. Specifically on trucks, do you guys assemble the chassis first or engine or other parts and THEN you paint it?
  9. Great tip Andy. The idea is to warm up the part enough so you can bend it a little and bring it back to the correct position. Then you can use some masking tape to force the part in the opposite direction for a few hours. I warm up my parts by waving them on a stove top, not too close. But the water method is safer.
  10. Check this one! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92381&hl=
  11. As far as I know, yes, they were all the same.
  12. In all sincerity. I like it a lot. Beautiful bus. Been thinking on buying one myself.
  13. They came in truck kits in the 1970s.
  14. Thank you so much Sean!!
  15. I'm still trying to find an image of the back part of the flier in my first post.
  16. Tom, look at what I just found on Ebay.
  17. This is more interesting than I thought. Thank you guys!!
  18. Let's see a picture of that box John. And, how did you guys find out about doing the kit for the company. Newspaper ad, modelers club, TV ads?
  19. Great info, Thank you!!
  20. These kits and many more were actually built and then photographed for the box covers. What happens to these trucks afterwards? Do they sell them or put on storage? Just wondering.
  21. Like your ideas too Roger. Thank you!
  22. I use 3M Scotch masking tape. I read somewhere here in this forum somebody said, "After I have the tape in place I brush on clear coat over the edge of the tape". I'll do just that when I get to that part. If you look at the part I painted for practice, I did not do that, so some black slipped under the tape. The main thing is to let the paint cure for at least a week so the tape won't lift the paint as you remove the tape. Nick, I posted this before I read your post and it's almost the same thing you said. Thanks!
  23. I really like it. I have a Johnny Lightning version (1/64 scale) of this bus and also a MASH bus. But now you have given me an idea. I think I'll do a MASH version on this kit. I thought about buying this kit for some time now. Just paint it olive drab and some red crosses.
  24. Forgot to mention. I avoid applying decals directly a over a flat color. I apply a clear coat first if I use a flat color. I read somewhere that they won't stick well over a flat color.
