  1. Thank you all. The fifth wheel bothers me a little as it sits too far forward because it is molded on the frame so I could not move it back. And because of my skill level I could not come up with a solution.
  2. Funny cars are my favorites since I was a kid ( I had the Monza or was it Vega? in 1/16 back then) but the Army funny car was and is the top one in any of the different bodies. Man, I really mean this, "you did a great job here". How much you want for it?
  3. Makes me want to buy one. I like it.
  4. I thought I was done with this truck but I decided to put on black front fenders, also covered the two gaps on the bottom back of the cab with a license plate and an "aux air tank". And removed the ugly looking mud flaps decals.
  5. The real gravel detail is outstanding as is the whole truck and trailer. Is it all gravel to the bottom? Or did you use a "false" bottom? I wanted to do this on my trailer but I was afraid that if I fill it up with gravel it would be too heavy on the plastic. I also thought of about mixing the gravel with glue and put a false floor so I would not need a lot of gravel but never got around to do it.
  6. I honestly say, "WOW!!.
  7. I think I remember you posted a few questions with problems with the two tone paint. Your effort and perseverance paid off.
  8. Actually a little too low on the front. But once you put the glass, it is hardly noticeable. When you look at the passenger side you can notice in the photo a little slant. Hope this helps you.
  9. Ok Clayton, I'm with you.
  10. Now that you mention it, yes, I have seen a few around.
  11. I vote for the Cat Bulldozer.
  12. I look at those pictures and it makes me want to drive a truck like that. Are you going to put a load on the trailer?
  13. Is this your first truck?? You look like a Pro to me. It is beautiful!! You say," I honestly do not know why my hood hinges raised the level of the hood up." Check the radiator, it could be a little too forward and holding your hood up.
  14. Ok, I think I'll leave alone and as you guys say, do some details and that's it. Thank you all for your great responses. Truth is that I learned a lot of things with this project. Mistakes that I did not repeat on the next projects.
  15. Added the rear quarter fenders and gas tank step.
  16. Thanks all. It's actually red.
  17. I thought of doing that but it is a nice kit that I like. I'll check out that purple power Christopher. The paint I used is the regular Testors. Thank you guys.
  18. You can see this project finished here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95301
  19. I did this one a while ago when I was just starting again in this hobby. I painted it first yellow. Then I sanded it to paint it blue but the paint job came out horrible. Next I'll try brake fluid to remove all paint and start over again. This one of those Snap Tites which can be easily disassembled. Is there a better method than brake fluid to remove paint?
  20. This Mack looks nice man! Black is a color I've never been able to do right. But I see you can do it right.
  21. Added some stickers and trailer cables.
  22. Nothing fancy but I had fun doing it. This is a great kit to modify. This is the Pete from the kit shown in the box in the background. I'm still doing the final details.
