Started weathering. this is my first attempt at weathering. I used Testors CreateFx enamel stains. Which are just enamel washes.. they are on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $2.15 a bottle.

and this is what happened while shaking my Alclad black primer. Primer went everywhere.
Primer and pre-shading done.
The suspension works on this model.
Been working on turret and trying to get rid of ejector pin marks, there are a ton.
Here is the turret how it is supposed to look but you cant see much in side.
So I cut along the weld on the top to open it up.
Been working on this off and on for a couple years now. It is a huge kit.The box is 16" x 24". when done the hull is 16" x 7.5" Has ton of detail on it. Wish it would of came with some figures.
I have one of theses that I started and lost intrest in it. I didn't like the way it fit togther so painted body and it just sits now don't think I will ever do it. I owned a k5 when I bought the kit. Sold the truck now no intrest.
Yes it is 1/18. I was just looking at more refined pics and Heller messed up major wing from the side of the car. So I don't know if I want to fab it up or just build it like it is. When I get to the computer I'll post a pic.
A new day a new build. So got a box full of goodies from Amazon yesterday. and decided to start the Heller F1 kit in it. Plus still waiting for photo etch for other kit. This is my first Heller kit. I am disappointed with it fit is not very good. So I am pretty much having to build the kit then paint it. Kind of like resin kit. So here is some progress. this thing needs filler everywhere. the body lines where rear cowl meets up was pretty much didn't exist so I took back of hobby knife to it.
You're right i must have put them in wrong places have to pull out instructions and see which way is right. I think it's supposed to be smaller to the inside. Thanks for heads up and the kind words everyone. It's amazing i look at the car and think i got the dust off snap a pic and it's still there. Time for new glasses. Maybe I could paint a ac vent correctly then also.
