  1. Tamiya Xanavi R35. did this 4 or so years ago. some of the best chrome I ever saw in a kit R390 GT1
  2. Yah I am an impatient person. Thats why I don't use enamel paint. My builds would probably be better if I would slow down.
  3. Thanks for the complements everyone.
  4. Stupid auto correct a ball joint for steering arm. Tamiya calls it ball connector.
  5. I always forget the tail pipes. Thanks for reminding me. I need to put post it on my desk to remember.
  6. Eric at tamiya usa was great l. I called he asked for some pics of part. Sent out replacement few days later. Even emailed me when part was shipped. Took 2 days for ca to mo to get part. This is only the second time I had issue with a Tamiya product. First was unthreaded ball pin on coldbuster.
  7. Just went threw this toi. Call 1-800-tamiya-a. Got new windshield for gt-one in less then a week.
  8. just finished up. As with all Tamiya no real [problems. Had a broken windshield when i opened it ,but Tamiya sent m a new one.
  9. Interior before its closed up. It is all done so staring thread in under glass.
  10. He just ed emailed me and said he has them in stock. Follow link in Bernard ' post to contact.
  11. Outstanding work Nacho. I have the same kit but haven't started it. Did you get the metal wheels (i think they are acustion) for this build intrested to see them and how they fit. Again great build
  12. http://modelpaint.tripod.com/booth2.htm You should check this website out tells you all about air flow booth setup fans etc. He doesn't like bath fans either but still tons of great info about design.
  13. If you make sure the bath fan is a induction motor or brushless it's explosion proof. If you are worried you can get a squirrel cage fan or belt driven so motor is out of booth. I have no issues with mine and I spray lacquer all the time. But it boils down to what you are comfortable with if you don't trust it go another route. I know of guys using range hood fans in their booth and guys using box fans on other forums. Another thing is I suggest making sure the fan blades are not metal. If they hit something they can spark. Chance of fan hit something are slim but better to be safe.
  14. got the engine put in. Besides that didn't do to much today.
  15. Once again thanks alot. I have learned a lot from your 2 replies. And i will definitely pm you if i have questions.
  16. Thanks a lot you answered it all. Only other question is what psi do you shoot it at. If it helps I use Iwata brushes. I have the Eclipse hp-cs and their high performance plus HP-C plus. Again Thanks for all your help. And besides the colors I what else should i get with it as far as reducers and thinners.
  17. Hey guys I saw a house of kolor paint set on amazonhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0039788WS?pc_redir=1411189702&robot_redir=1 has 9 40 bottles for around $ 90. I have a few questions since I never used it. 1. What primer do you use with it. Will tamiya and alclad micro primer work. 2. Is that a good price. 3. Do you have to clear it or is it gloss. If you clear what kind. Is future safe for it. 4. Do most automotive paint supply places carry it. 5. What do you clean your airbrush with after using it. 6. How's it work on photo etched pieces. Like wings. 7. Is the same primer safe on resin. If different from Tamiya or alclad. I can't get any good paint here since no hobby store only hobby lobby. And I don't care for testors cans spray to thick.
  18. I have the original of this kit in my stash (with original JPS decals) so I'll be watching. You can find some nice detail parts for this kit from RB Motion, ejan, MFH.
  19. ALWAYS run spark free for paint booth. I run a bathroom exhaust fan from menards. I just got the biggest cfm rated one. Most bathroom exhaust fans are spark free cause if sewer gasses come out of the pipes they can be explosive. All paint can be harmful so you should always wear a mask. I never do but I'm stupid that way. Actually had to go to hospital one time airbrushing lacquer in closed room. As far as filter I use the premium house filters for the furnace. Fumes will go threw those still and cause a fire if using wrong fan. There are plenty of tutorials out there for building a booth. Hope this helps.
  20. Yah i know ferrari is still Marlboro and Ducati was just didn't know toyota was. They tried the bar code for a while too. Ferrari is still Scuderia Marlboro Ferrari you only get to her it in post face podium press conference when they introduce a Ferrari driver. It's like the diamondbacks ballpark they raised cigarette tax to build it. Then when I went I wasn't allowed to smoke.
  21. Was this car sponsored by Marlboro? Still don't understand stand why alcohol is ok on a car, but cigarette can't. F-ing can't stand that. I didn't do any research on this car since I am just doing a box build. Thinking of getting a second one and getting detail sets for it and leaving body off. Thanks for info.
