  1. Man Erik, you're doing a great job on this build! Can hardly wait to see it finished! Just picked up the kit, gonna try to replicate the '91 Coupe in my garage.
  2. I like this Pinto! Very cool.
  3. Sweet looking Corvette Matt. Really nice paint job!
  4. Nice come back Randy! Great looking 5.0! Nice smooth paint too.
  5. Great looking car, very nice paint job. Cool.!
  6. Sharp! Nice shiney paint. I like it .......... alot!
  7. Fantastic build, you've built another great looking replica.
  8. Nice build Peekay! No paint, wow! The engine compartment looks great also.
  9. Thanks for the compliments guys. Rich, Jim, the front suspension is off the '70 Monte Carlo lowrider kit. It's suppose to represent hydraulics. I was going for the tail dragger look, but I guess it is a little high. Peekay, I used a photo etch kit I got from Oakey Spalding who owns Johan. I had to trim a bunch on that interior. Thanks for the compliment. Roy
  10. Here is the JoHan model that I built about a month ago. It seemed most people didn't care for the way the front end sat up so high, and after seeing it on my computer screen, I agreed. So I dug out my Monte Carlo kit and got the low version of the front suspension, replaced the high one, and took some more pictures because I thought you might want to see them. It's a '55 Pontiac Starchief that I chopped the top off of. The interior is from a '62 Catalina with a '57 Chevy dash. The chassis is an AMT '57 Chevy with a '70 Monte Carlo front clip. Paint is Testors lacquer Star Spangled Blue and Pearl White. It's not perfect, but I had fun building it. it does sit level, it's just the paper is not level. and the black lint looking stuff on the trunk is really stuff on my phone. So, what do you think? better? I think so. Thank you all for your constructive criticism. Roy
  11. Cool Mustang MrMike! I like the color/stripe combo, and I love red interiors! I see a 2005 Mustang on my way to work that's black with a red interior. Awesome. I keep hoping to see a for sale sign on it someday.
  12. Awesome! Really a good looking build Peter. You did fantastic with the scripts.
  13. Awesome Oldsmobile Richard, very cool ! Great interior...........again! As Kidd Rock says, "It's not braggin' if you can back it up"!
  14. Better. The grill and front valance are improvements for sure, and I like the hood. What else has been done, and why?
  15. You're doing good so far Daniel. Sure wish they'd re-issue this kit or tool up a new one! Can't wait to see more!
  16. Excellent build Andy! So..........how did you shrink that 1:1 engine and shifter ??????
  17. Really looking good Randy! That black BMF looks ok, but not much, if any, better than paint. The paint looks shiny and smooth, and your interior is really nice. I like your shrink tube on the tweezers trick, got to try that!
  18. Sounds like a fun project, can't wait to see more!!!
  19. Very nice build, great looking paint!
  20. SCIMA Swap meet and Contest this weekend, Saturday September 7th. Columbus Indiana. They always have a great show! Hope you can make it.
  21. Yeah what he said! That Cobra is way cool !! Kinda mean looking, and a great looking engine compartment. Roy too
  22. Gorgeous design! I love the way you made everything seem to belong together. (Except those mirrors, imho). That aside, gorgeous! Glad you dropped the Lambo doors, these look more authentic. Really cool sitting it on a C6 chassis with an LS engine. Great building so far Billy, can't wait to see more. Awesome!
  23. My wife drives a Ford Excursion. V10, 4x4. It's not embarrassing at all..............until you have to fill up the tank twice in one day.......at the same station........... (small town living) I have two teenage boys with long legs, we need lots of legroom. Plus pull a trailer to carry mowers for "their" lawn mowing business. 10 miles per gallon, 11 mpg on a rare day. Uphill, downhill, pulling a load, not pulling anything, hot, cold, wind to the front, wind to the back, 10 mpg. Period. But it sure does haul a lot of stuff though. Talk about embarrassing, (especially to a Ford guy), my sister drives a Hyundai Sonata. Ugly. So many little things are broken on it, like the window switches, trim pieces, gas door, hood latch. The paint is flaking off. But it still runs, so she keeps driving it! Ugly. Not funny.
  24. Casey, your work is very admirable. Outstanding build. I can't wait to see more! Your attention to detail is unbelievable! Custom Mike, excellent job on your interior, the leather work is remarkable! The bed floor is so good looking, and those carriage bolts, WOW, great job!
