  2. Another one I just acquired. More pictures of the box, contents and instructions here Thanks for looking
  3. Interior is done! Kens fuzzy fur on the floor, custom made wood grain decals on the doors (cut out from the 65 Lincoln convertible decal sheet), Testors Nassau blue main color. Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed!
  4. The "Buy me now" button is sometimes too hard to resist! I got this so I could use the custom pieces on the new AMT 62 Bird, and they work! Super cool eh? Others coming in the next few days are a 62 Ford Galaxie convertible, 64 Ford Thunderbird, 64 Lincoln convertible, and a 65 Thunderbird, all annuals. Then that's it, I've shot my budget for this year. Thanks, enjoy, and stay safe out there !As always, more box pics, contents, and instructions at the link.
  5. Here is another one I just received, the 63 Ford Convertible annual kit. The instructions I got in the kit were bug chewed or something so they were not really photo quality. Lucky I found a set if instructions at the Drastic Plastic Foki site. More pictures of the box contents, box, and a link to the instructions at the link below
  6. Very cool! What a ride! I bet ya she scoots right down the road!
  7. Somewhat of a grail for me, just got it in the mail today! More pictures of the box, box contents, and instructions below
  8. Cool, I learned something new today! Thanks for your insight and knowledge.
  9. Actually the bar you are seeing is the chrome surround for the side Windows.
  10. Pictures of box, box contents, and instructions here Thank you and enjoy!
  11. More pictures of box contents, box, and instructions at this link: Annual 62 Merc Convert
  12. One that I picked up today, 1963 Mercury Marauder annual kit, set the way back machine to 1963! More box pictures, box contents, and instructions at this link: AMT 1963 Mercury Marauder Annual
  13. There are chrome inserts for the hood scoop that I will use.
  14. Fairly close to stock. I'm not going to go crazy with detail o d changing things to be more accurate though.
  15. I found out that the interior and frame from the AMT 66 Mercury will fit, so I don't have to try and clean up the old stuff. I think the color will be a turquoise, kind of like the drawing on the box cover. The first pictures were taken right after it came out of the purple pond, cleaned up really well. I noticed some body damage on the drivers side I'll have to fix. The next few pictures are with the new parts taped on. I was able to remove all the old pieces except for the hood scoop, I'll just have to live with the one that is on there. New front pan and grill section New chrome roof bar and rear window extension. The skirts are from the AMT 64 Mercury Marauder kit while the wire wheels are from the 65 Lincoln convertible kit. I don't like how it looks without the skirts. Thanks for looking!
  16. I was all set to create the wood grain areas for the Lincoln interior when I discovered Round2 already did that for me! They look pretty good, considering there was nothing on the door panels to indicate something was supposed to be there. Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.
  17. Got some interior detailing done. I used the wood grain decals from the 65 Lincoln convertible to cut out the side panels. I will go around it with a Molotow pen once the decals are dry. Thanks for looking
  18. So Ron, whatever became of these?
  19. I got this one two days ago, surprising that except for the hardtop body, the kits contents are the same as the recently released convertible version, which will help on the building of this kit since the chrome trees are on the satin chrome side of things. Pics of contents, box art, and instructions at this link
  20. Picked this one up a little while ago when I was into the Buicks, nice kit. Kits contents, and instruction pictures at this link: Buick Electra 225 Convertible kit contents and instructions

They get better with every one you build, great work and a good save of a kit that has been resurrected. May I ask where you get so many of these models that need rebuilt?
  22. Yes this one will be stock.
  23. I noticed that as well. This color is just a bit darker and shinier though.
  24. It's just the way the light is reflecting from the body. Cool look though.
  25. So while waiting for the 65 Lincoln hardtop to arrive, I decided to build this convertible as a companion piece for the 65 Park Lane. Painted with Tamiya TS-63 dark blue with Testors wet look clear. Interior is painted with Testors enamel Pearl blue metallic. Comparing the two grilles, you can see the Lincoln influence on the Mercury grille, (or vise-versa!). Mercury grille on top, Lincoln on the bottom. Thanks for looking!
