It's been cleared! I'll have to fix the little imperfections from floating dust particles that managed to find their way into my wet clear coat, it always seems to happen. I was going for the metallic chestnut look but it seems like I'm off quite a bit. Still, I think it looks good in the fiery orange. Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

Got some color on the body, Testors' Fiery Orange. These pics where shot right after the color coat and before any clear.

Its the angle. On the real car you can barely see any interior, on the model shot you can see the upper portion of the interior. You can also see more of the drivers side interior roof on the model shot than the real car, so comparing wheel well shapes will be off.

I got this hardtop in a multiple buy from that auction site. I got another 62 Galaxie for the stock front and rear bumpers and tail lights. Then I thought, why not use an AMT 60 Starliner frame under it? By removing the tranny hump from the 60 floor pan I was able to use the stock interior bucket without modification. This saved me a lot of aggravation since the seats are molded hollow to the interior bucket. I did need to shorten the 60 frame and floor pan a little and narrow it a bit behind the rear wheel wells. Bumpers fit great I was shooting for this ride height. I think I got it. Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

This is right up my alley! I recently collected a bunch of glue bombs this year, here they are in no particular order. As received. Right now. As received Right now. As received. Right now. As received. The way it is now. As Received. How it is now -
An insane build of an insane model! Excellent in every way. Thank you for sharing it!

Very clean and great looking. I have one of these in Yellow and the convertible still in the box that I'll build someday.

Great build on an old favorite. Love the small block upgrade you did. Good detailing you did on the shocks and great color coordination on the frame. I like it alot.

Thank you all for the great comments! I am humbled.

Started in October, 20, 2019. Completed March 29, 2021. Painted Testor's Auto Lacquer Artesian Turquoise with Testor's Auto Lacquer Ultra Gloss Clear Coat. Engine block from AMT 64 Impala kit while the intake, valve covers, exhaust manifold, air cleaner and carbs are from AMT 62 Bel Air kit. Engine decals came in new version of AMT 63 Impala. Firewall is from AMT 64 Impala while radiator support and shroud is from AMT 1962 Bel Air kit. The 409 and SS are decals that came with the kit. I should have done the badges with a chrome pen before applying the decals. Lesson learned if I do another one. I painted the panel chrome, then BMFed around the outside, then painted the Tail lights with clear red paint, flat white paint, then outlined with a Molotow 1mm chrome pen. I should have put BMF on the badge before the decal. Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

Having a new Bonnie kit is nice, but I would really love for Round2 to find the Bonneville convertible promo body and put that in the kit instead of the hardtop!

very cool and innovative!

Started in September 2008 and finally finished up February 2021. AMT 65 Bonneville in Evening orchid. I have some body warp but it is done! Basic black interior, BMF for the trim, Molotow pen for lettering.

That is an original AMT convertible Buick. I have an up top for it as well. Thanks for the comment!

I have a four C4s done. Here is a 1989 Painted Tamiya TS-54 light metallic blue. In my stash I have all the C4s from 1984 to 1996, I just need to build them all! A 1990 custom, built as a curbside as this kit did not have an engine for it. Aoshima wheels and tires, Testors Hot pink. 1994 Painted testors Teal. 1988, built straight from the box. All the others I've shown I lowered the rear suspension some.

It was a great experience. Can't hardly wait until next year.

I started both of these at 11am Central time and got the 62 done at 1:30am, the 63 I got done at 10:00am on January 31. It is possible to build a couple of models in 24 hours and it is a lot of fun! Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

I was hoping the original owner would be on this site! Thanks for the feedback I really do appreciate it. I have to say it cleaned up really nice! There was hardly any red left after a bath in purple power!

This is a rebuild from a built up I got from ebay last year. First pictures of how I got it and the last is how it looks today. Here it is rebuilt - Not perfect but I feel a bit better than when I got it. Painted Testors' Revving Red with wet look clear. The bubble rear window and custom roof came from another 63 Galaxie I have. The engine block came in the model but I used new chrome from one of the many 63 Ford kits I have to freshen it up. I also used new custom parts from the various 63 Galaxie kits I have. The spotlights are from the AMT 62 Buick kit. Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

I finished up the interior today and got half of the side chrome done. Dash, center console arm rest, and custom steering wheel painted Testors' Revving Red. Rear seat backs highlighted with Testors' 1204 red. Flooring done with Kens fuzzy fur maroon flocking. The chrome was done with a molotow chrome pen. Dash buttons gloss white and gauge faces done with semi-gloss black. The custom roof panels and rear glass came from another 63 Galaxie convertible I have. Body is also painted Testors' Revving Red with wet look clear. I'll be using the flip upside glass on this. The custom rear treatment comes from about three different custom treatments that came in the kit. Kit supplied big bullet tail lights are glued to smaller round filler lights that have been BMF'd. It's came a long way from when I first got it eh? Thanks for looking, all comments welcomed.

I have one in progress with the same color combo, I hope mine turns out half as good as yours. Great build.
