  1. While I think the Revell version of the new C8 Corvette is great, I would love Tamiya to do a version of it, maybe the ZR1 or ZO6. Any comments?
  2. Here is what I drive as much as possible.
  3. Some of the colors for my Corvette collection. I have 4 more coming. Colors are Tamiya TS 97 yellow, testers Italian red lacquer, paint scratch touch up rapid blow, and Tamiya TS-92 metallic orange. I have one not shown that is Tamiya TS 10 French blue. The other 4 will be painted pearl white, gun metal grey, Tamiya TS 50 blue, and either a purple or lime green. I have a real 2023 HTC so I am really wanting the convertible from Revell. I will have to be happy with the hardtop until it’s released. Thanks for looking.
  4. Hobbylinc has them now, I just ordered six! Waiting for the HTC so I can build mine.
  5. Revel’s perfect 71 Mustang has a much better frame and engine for the 71-73 Cougars. Just saying.
  6. According to what I’ve read, Chrysler made 63 Hemi Chargers in 1971, so if you google 71 hemi charger you can see their options.
  7. I'm just hoping. Nothing except my desire for some of these to show up and not be three bills!
  8. I can wait for those 1967 Galaxie kits until next year. I have two I'm building now. That 63 with the camper is cool and I could see one of those Demons making its way to my collection. The 60 Pickup is on my "buy" list along with the much delayed (to me) 71 Muskrat.
  9. Here is one I started in 2008. I should really get it done.
  10. Sprayed it with TS-97 Pearl Yellow with TS-13 Clear over Testors Chrysler Yellow lacquer.
  11. Of course another one I would like to see is a clone of the 67 1/2 Firebird kit. I do not think it was ever reissued.
  12. That's a given, it will be towards the end of the year.
  13. Okay, here is my guess. I believe Round2 will use the newly tooled parts for the 68 Coronet R/T convertible/hardtop to give us a 69 version. My feeling is there is very little changes to the body (except for rear taillights), and they can use the new frame, engine, tires and most of the interior for a 69 kit. Round2 could even give us three kits, one a convertible and the other a hardtop. For just a little bit more plastic they can give us a 69 Super bee sixpack! From what I can tell the only MPC 69 Coronet convertible was the Mission Impossible kit while they never did the Six Pack version. So, let's do a count, 5 kits from a cloned 68 original with a few new parts for the 69 versions. I say give it a go Round2! (And yes, I know about the Monogram/Revell 1/24 69 kits, I just never really liked them so much.)
  14. Started working on this one last week. I got as far as trying to put the front wheels on when I thought to myself, "these plastic pins are a pain. Plus, that engine doesn't look at all good." I went to my model supply cabinet and broke out an AMT 68/69 RR/GTX kit for the frame. I raided a Revell 68 Charger for the engine and am using a B-N-L resin torque flight tranny for the build. How does that AMT frame fit you ask? Very well thank you. I just had to do some minor sanding on the radiator support and firewall to get them to fit properly. I selected the Keystone mags from the Revell 68 Charger kit and the redline tires from the new 68 GTO kit. I am also using the rear axle from the Charger kit since it looks better than what AMT gives us in the 68/69 kits. I still have to play with the location of the rear axle so the wheelbase is right, but here is how it looks right now. Basic engine is done, just needs all the accessories glued on it. Here is how it looks inside the engine compartment. Chrome valve covers are from the Revell 68 Dodge Dart kit. Thanks for looking.
  15. I think that was made from the front bumper of a 59 Ford. Very creative.
  16. You can always use the excellent 67 Mustang for a donor for an updated frame/engine compartmet.
  17. Yes the 68 frame was totally junk. Along with the engine.
  18. A while back someone took my web site name, so I had to change it to something else. Unfortunately, everything that I posted from the old address is now gone. So instead of doing them all individually I will just put the address of my kit review page here for your enjoyment. In Progress - Fords, Lincolns, Mercurys And here are some pics of the 68 Ford. As I got it from eBay I am using a 1969 frame and engine under it. Thanks for looking, check out the link above for way too many models not completed ?

  20. I have wrote off my order to him. I know I’m never going to get my 70 ford galaxie. I hope he had fun with my money. It’s been going on three years now. His Facebook account has not had any action for over a year. Give it up motor city resin is gone and if you send them money you will not get what you want.
  21. I got mine from Spotlight hobbies and I did not have too bad of warpage. A little on one side but glue and holding the part to the bottom of the ramp fixed it pretty well. Don't get too excited by the "extra parts" in the kit. There is one 4x4 front axle, 1/2 of the transfer case, an automatic (useful), a set of 5 lug wheels, and a set of 150 control arms. Not really much that can be used in other builds unless you are missing some pieces from another Moebius kit. One of my tire wheel bars was warped but I managed to get it glued into the tire rack. It looks like maybe someone tossed a tire up there and hit the bar instead of getting in between them, scale damage ? I also got the release of the 76 Caprice for the trailer, that trailer is very warped and looks almost like a banana!
  22. When I was a kid, I probably had about 20 of these tri-fives from Revell. I kept trying to get them better ? The only thing I don't like about this kit is the way the front bumper looks like it's drooping and the headlights. I used the custom headlights from an AMT kit along with the custom nose on only of my builds of this kit and it turned out good. I've not tried the new Revell headlight and grille/bumper on one of these old bodies, but they would probably work as well as the AMT stuff. I may have to get one of these and try my hand again at building one. although I may wait until they release the 57 Nomad kit, the only 1/25 scale 57 Nomad that has the correct rear bumper in it. n
  23. Just thinking here, the RETAIL price may not come down, but what about MANUFACTURING costs?
  24. I did find some 1/25 2016 Corvettes. A could and convertible. I ordered one of the verts.
