  1. You are correct, Sir!
  2. I think it's Paul Revere & the Raiders, Cherokee Nation, or something like that. I bet I'm close, anyway. In a similar vein: The Indian need food Needed skins for a roof He only took what he needed Millions of buffalo were the proof! Millions of buffalo!
  3. You're half right. The second half. But he didn't say the first line.
  4. I've never seen the movie, but I'm given to understand that's John Wayne in Sands of Iwo Jima. But I also heard Fred Sanford say it to Lamont once. Really!
  5. "An entire world at war and I'm left out of it? God will not permit this to happen!" "At my signal, unleash Hell." "Where do we get such men?"
  6. One of my favorites, too. Oddball (Donald Sutherland) in Kelly's Heroes. Fabulous movie!
  7. It was done in promo. I have one, molded in Anti-Establish Mint, no less. I don't think JoHan ever did a stock version, I think they might have jumped right to the Pro Stock. Come to think of it, I think someone is now doing a stock Maverick in resin. I could swear I saw one on somebody's site the other day.
  8. That picture brings up another problem. The top edge of the rear quarters (fenders) from about the end of the roof to the tail panel isn't right. This photo clearly shows that that line should be almost straight, but the kit line is continuously curved. This is something else that didn't pop right out at me, but now that I see it, I can't un-see it. Dunno if it can be improved or not--will probably involve sanding down the whole surface of the trunk a bit to match. This body isn't as bad as the 2nd version of the '70 AAR Cuda, but wow it's getting worse the more I look at it.
  9. "Solving your problems isn't our line." "We deal in lead, friend."
  10. "Buzzard's gotta eat, same as the worm." "Come with me if you want to live." "Leaving! What a good idea!"
  11. I'd use Model Master Arctic Blue for that.
  12. Almost forgot to show this. Kit instructions tell you to glue the headers on after the engine is in the chassis, finagling them up from below. Didn't want to do that so I hit the A-arms with a file until I could just barely wiggle the engine in place with the headers mounted. Not much meat left there but hey, it's a shelf model, not a contest entry. If I ever want underside detail, I'll put it on a chassis from the Revell '66 Chevelle. Spent about two hours this morning scratchbuilding a Hurst-ish shifter and boot out of sheet and rod styrene. Here's what it looked like before painting. And here it is painted. Makes a bold “fashion statement” in this otherwise stark, factory-stock and out-of-the-box interior, dontcha think? BTW, took photos at every step of making this thing and can do a Tutorial if anyone's interested. Go on, beg me.
  13. On pages 82 and 83 of the Grumpy's Toys book, there are a couple photos of Jenkins' shop with his '65 El Camino in the background. It seems to be Nassau Blue but I can't tell the interior color, or what kind of wheels it has. I want to build a stock-ish '65 Elky and might as well build this one while I'm at it. Does anyone here happen to know the interior color? Considering Grump's long relationship with Cragar, it wouldn't be out of line to assume Cragar wheels, would it (unless someone happens to know differently)?
  14. Don't worry about it. Just PM me your snaily address.

    67 Charger

Great finish! Not a fan of the wheels/tires but otherwise a fine, fine build!
  16. How about an 8/10 scale Corsair?
  17. How about a Boeing 307 as a boat?
  18. I was beginning to think no one was going to post that!
  19. How thick do you need, and how big pieces do you need? I have a lot of scrap styrene in the .020-.030" range. If that will work for you, I'd be happy to send you a jet-pack full of the stuff.
  20. PM sent. Hope it helps.
  21. Tim, the real problem with the Revell grille isn't the missing or understated two bars. It's that the ends of the thing aren't shaped correctly. They have the grille symmetrical top to bottom--you could install it either way and it would look the same. And that is NOT what any first-gen Camaro grille looks like. I'll build the Revell Camaro, but it will be with either a Modelhaus '67 SS/RS grille, or an AMT grille. Or aftermarket, if someone comes up with something acceptable.
  22. If it looked like this kit, the grille and front fenders would have to be replaced. And I'd have to wonder if it was actually a Camaro at all, or some kind of cheap copy.
