On second thought, I think RoG is seriously thinking about or has already considered make a school bus. Why? RoG has been partnering with Moebius and offering the Lonestar and Prostar in Europe. Moebius has established a track record of offering International trucks and who is the larger producer of school buses in the US?

Pocher 1/8 scale Volvo F12 Tractor

Really nice kit and excellent execution. I have had several opportunities to purchase this kit at tempting prices over the years, but passed. In my opinion, the casting of the parts are not all that more detailed than the 1/24th scale Italeri Volvo F12. but what it lacks in the detail of individual parts in makes up the number of parts. Again great additional detail! -

The Scenicruiser would be a good choice. It is a classic American symbol and it definitely would sell. I think the school bus would be a bad choice. As far as the majority of big truck modelers, it is not a major requested subject. If anyone would want it, the target market would be car modelers. What they want it for is to put 1/16th model truck wheels on the real wheels, a hot rod engine in it and turn it in to a rail dragster. Not a serious commercial vehicle subject. What I would like is a modern highway coach such as a Prevost.

What's up with the semi truck aftermarket?

Every installation on a real truck with a particular engine and options is different. I think the Revell KW wrecker is a Caterpillar engine, so the installation will be different with different parts. And most likely the truck model kit may not be prototypically accurate in the first place. I actually took many photos of a real Freightliner FLD with a Detroit Diesel engine. I also used actual maintenance manuals as references. Those pink hose connectors are from Clint Freeman. When i purchased that stuff way back when, I made a big order. They were also available in blue. SourKraut's Truck models did offer them from another supplier. I don't remember who. Under my model's hood, there is a lot of scratch built stuff. That DD is a Clint Freeman. I built this model before Italeri offered the Peterbilt kits so the Freeman DD was all that was available. I built this using Ken Smith's Car Modeler instructions. In fact Ken collaborated with me to help me get it done. I have aluminum tube for the air cleaner intake and stainless steel tube for the intercooler intake pipe. It was a b**** to bend that stainless tube. The rest of the piping is resin and plastic. Ken told me to use anything you can find to detail your models. A craft store, hardware store, electronic shop can give you some convincing items to simulate what you want. Platruct and Evergreen plastic is great. The elbow pipe connect to the air cleaner can is actually a kit part with plastic strips made to look like flexible rubber. Unfortunately aftermarket parts are out there, they are just more difficult to find and much more expensive than they were 10 or 15 years ago. Detailing is all in how far you want to go. You can replicate ever bolt and nut that was on a particular model for that year of subject, but you may never finish the model, obsessing over every minute detail. Of course that is the fun of modeling. -
It's an OK kit, but not for the money. It isn't that muck more detailed that a good Italeri 1/24th scale truck it But it is large. If you go all out with superdetailing, then due to it's massive size it can be really impressive. The diesel engine was offered as a separated kit. Again, why would you spend the money for the separate engine kit when the whole truck kit had the same engine.

A&N model trucks 2012 Freightliner Coronado

I received a correspondence from Andrey Myakotkin (A&N) today, there is no decision on what the American conventional will be, when it will offered and the cost. His "goal is to make quality, interesting and detailed kit," as he put it. -

This was discussed several years ago in the Yahoo MTDG. A modeler made the masters of the Freightliner Argosy and was going to sell it thru KFS. Mercedes Benz, which owns Freightliner wanted all types of legal information concerning the Argosy model. KFS decided it wasn't worth offering it. Andrey Myakotkin (A&N) offered a altered version and call it "Australian Cabover." He offers an American version with left hand drive. Andrey Myakotkin (A&N) has a web site, is on Facebook, is a regular poster on the Yahoo Dutch Truck Model Group and is on another prominent truck model magazine forum. De Elegant models offered a Coronado. -
