  1. Fantastic Tim. You and Peterbilt, class!
  2. You have got to photograph all of logging rigs together.
  3. I scanned it from an early 1990s ATHS "Wheels of Time" magazine's for sale section. I think the actual truck was green. If you look at that particular model it is actually a Diamond Reo Raider before the Raider was offered.
  4. I read somewhere that those guys made some double bunk Astros. Could this be one? http://www.roadtransport.com/blogs/big-lorry-blog/2009/09/on-the-road-to-antarctica-with.html
  5. Always on the lookout for interesting subjects!

  6. Take some pictures of it off of the pedestal, in a realistic setting.
  7. Here is another Euro tractor that was available in the US. Mercedes Benz 1628s.
  8. Great, will be looking foward.
  9. Seeing your models is like seeing a history of the logging industry in the North West US.
  10. Always nice to have craftsman give new life to a model.
  11. Looks good Ben. What truck is it going in to?
  12. Wonderful results! How about this one? PS, Lets see the valve panel.
  13. Not much if you use an air brush. Also warming the spray can in tub of hot water will make the spray thinner. BTW, you're suppose to prime the plastic any way.
  14. Yep. the one I have is the one above. It's the same as the orginal ezcept for the decals. It's an acid type yellow. Rather bright. Ben, what's the issue with molded plastic colors. If you use Grey primer then white primer you should have no problems with color bleed though. This is an orginal kit I built in the early 1990s. "Trucks of the world"
  15. The original version had a black frame. The unbuilt one I have now with the American flag and fighter pilot decals has blue cab and yellow frame.
  16. In North America the Rocky Mountains, Cascade Mountains and Sierra Nevada are as high as the Alps. North America doesn't use v8 anymore because they cannot achieve the same MPG (KPG0 efficiency as the in line 6 engines with the same emissions ratings. The typical Euro truck will not travel the great distances as the North American trucker so fuel savings is a large factor.
  17. No road diesel engines are used in North America. Some off road vehicles have V8 engines V8s went out of favor in the 1980s. You would be hard pressed to find a highway diesel V8 in service here. Scania only sold the 6 cylinder intercooled engine in North America. Under powered for some applications.
