  1. Why don’t you order directly from Howard (KFS)? The dollar is pretty good against the pound right now.
  2. If you can locate an AMT T600 cab, that would be the appropriate starting point for your subject. The Revell kits are superior as far as detail is concerned, but the AMT T600 has the correct cab (notice the one piece windshield) albeit, lower quality casting and details as compared to the Revell T600 cabs.
  3. I got a reply from Moebius as to why they chose to make the Lone Star in 1/25th scale. They said they decided to make it compatible with all of the AMT and Revell kits, rather than the Italeri kits. That means all of the old Ertl International parts would be in the same scale. They said they are new to automotive vehicles and stuck with 1/25th scale.
  4. It is simply a Kenworth T 800 Aero Cab, around 2000 to 2003 vintage. A fantastic modeler from Montréal called Plaskit offers excellent cabs and accessories that can replicate this tractor using Revell of Germany or AMT base Kenworth kits. http://s429.photobucket.com/albums/qq13/danielgailloux/Plaskit_truck_conversion/
  5. Personally, if you are going to the trouble of attempting to kit bash two kits to make a new trailer, I think it would be easier and your results would be more accurate from a modern subject point of view to build it from scratch. A flat bed is among the easiest trailer to build. There have been several excellent scratch built trailers on this forum and you will learn a whole lot about trailers, acquire new modeling skills and have the satisfaction of knowing you can tackle any model issue. Dont be afraid to ask.
  6. You know you can make one.
  7. Impressive start as always.
  8. Like there are not any other model manufactures that offer automobile subjects!
  9. Ive been told by Moebius Models that December 2010 is the release date. It will be 1/25th scale with over 300 pieces and lots of detail as it is being prototyped as we speak. We shall see!
  10. The Cummins Signature was offered. Sauerkraut offers it. http://sourkrautsmodeltrucks.com/?page_id=3&category=5
  11. I don't know, but the 1/32nd scale AMT Ford CL 9000 has that engine.

  13. Aoshima offers a whole line of the 1/32nd scale Japanese trucks. Unfortunately, most of them are not directly available in the US or Canada. http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/eng/ http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/shouhin/series_index.aspx?cl_id=3&ot_id=18&si_id=471'>http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/shouhin/series_index.aspx?cl_id=3&ot_id=18&si_id=471 http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/shouhin/series_index.aspx?cl_id=3 http://www.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/shouhin/series_index.aspx?cl_id=3&ot_id=18&si_id=80
  14. If you guys think that the price and kit details are finalized don’t kid yourselves. The Trumpeter Lafrance was originally supposed to have a detailed drive train and the Italeri Volvo VN series was planned to have an accurate engine. The final costs of all of those details resulted in a kit that priced beyond the price point of the target market. I’m not saying this will happen to the Lone Star project, but the economy is what it is and IMC and MPC had big plans for big rig subjects and they folded. I have become a pragmatist regarding model truck kits and many truck modelers say they will buy subjects only to back out with various excuse. We shall see.
  15. Don't forget the sleeper windows.
  16. I'd rather have accurate class 8 modern tractor trailer rigs like the Pro Star and Lone Star, but too each his own.
  17. You have to translate that post in to english for me. " Bog Roll "?
  18. I have all of them. What volume and what page is it? i can scan it right awy.
