Thanks Ed! I haven't wet sanded or polished yet, but hopefully in the next few days. It was my first time spraying Gravity Colors, but they worked out great and I love the colors they offer. Tim -

Lots of progress on the '56 Chrysler 300B over the last few days. Doors and trunk are framed with the magnets installed to keep them closed. I also got to spray from Gravity Colors Skoda Rally Green and clear coat. These are the new "go to" paints for sure. Loved everything about them! Tim -

Finally got around to finish cutting out the doors and trunk and installing the hinges. The process of lining the door panels up with everything after you cut them out is painstakingly slow... and tedious. Everything has to match up perfect on the mockup to make sure after paint, it all lines up and comes together. Tim -
1 oz, premixed, ready to shoot. Tim

A pair of 66 Novas- small update for now on the wagon

14 pages... NAH! That's an easy read. lol Looks great, Jim!!! Tim -
It is thick, but I usually apply it with a toothpick or a small solid core wire or pin. It all depends on the situation, as far as where the glue get applied. Sometimes I set the glass and then glue, and other times I place glue on the frame or glass and then set it. Tim

Thanks! I guess I see it differently as getting a good quality paint that is ready to spray is worth the extra two bucks. Tim -

Something I hadn't thought of, but will try it out on the drivers side door and trunk. Thanks! Tim -

The A-posts on the '65 Chevelle I finished up last week were actually thinner, but the Mobieus kit is a little thicker and more stout. Not a problem and its a lot stronger than what it looks. The Chevelle was very flimsy after everything was cut, but you just have to take your time. Tim -
Going a little untraditional with the color on this one. I'll be cutting the doors and trunk out on this one, too. Gravity Colors Skoda Rally green is the color for this one, but it will have some nice white-walls on it and lowered a tad. Haven't decided on the interior colors just yet. Cutting out the doors takes about 30-45 per side since the plastic is a little thicker, and lining up the door panel will be tricky, but one step at a time. Tim

Outfreakingstanding, Jim! So many details, and so pretty!!! Tim -
For me, there is no hurry in the cure time when mounting and gluing the windows, but this glue is extremely strong once it sets. As far as the reviews, I'm not sure what they were applying it to, but I use it on anything that needs to be clear with no fogging of hazing. The other important aspect I like about this glue is that if you get it on a surface that has been painted, simply wipe it off with no consequences or damage to the paint. Other "super" glues don't offer that sanctuary, which is a big plus for me. Tim

Thanks, Cruz. It's always fun to try and push it to the limits and I learn something new every time that gets incorporated into the next build. I hope to be at the next meeting! Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I really appreciate it! Tim

I've been using this for a while on clear parts and windows. It dries super hard, but if you get it on paint or places you don't want it, just wipe it off with no issues or paint removal.

Lee - I tried my best, but all the wiring for the power windows, power locks and speakers got in the way. Kidding... I understand what you are saying, but didn't put much thought into it, other than getting the door to be functional and level. Apart from that, this was the first build I've ever done where I've cut anything out or hinged it. It's all about learning and taking those lessons onto the next build and making the next one better. I guess I try not to over-examine every little detail or be super critical since it is a small and delicate piece of plastic. There will always be something on every build that can be criticized (constructively of course) here on this site. Do I think the doors swinging out versus tucking into the body takes away from the build? No, but I'm also only building for myself and not trying to win a national title, either. Thanks for the comments. Tim

Matt - I hadn't really noticed until you mentioned it, but I cut along the molding lines that came with the kit. In order to mimic the exact design of the trunk, I would have had to cut the taillights out of the support bracket that is normally attached to the trunk on the real car. Doing that wouldn't have been worth the hassle I guess. Tim

Pretty much! Engine and suspension are stock, just modified to be lowered. Thanks! Tim
