  1. i lift one corner with the point of a blade. once i can get a grip on it i fold it back on itself and pull it back. you dont want to pull away from the tape, but back across and it leaves a better edge. the masks are better removed before the paint is fully dry or you risk getting chips on the edge
  2. the number of parts included. i have some recent snap kits with higher skill numbers than the glue kits
  3. Was it lancia that had the roll cages that you could bend with your hands. and cars that were so poorly built they had mechanics among the crowds for the inevitable breakdowns.
  4. only cos it means i'm nearly home
  5. some nice builds in russia http://truefitment.com/categories/custom/pickup-master
  6. In my previous model area i had laminate flooring which just made dropped items bounce into another dimension. When i moved into the other room i already had dark carpet down and its none better. I dropped a bright orange part and it also managed to disappear even though there was nothing else in the room for it to hide behind. Now i copy the apron trick mentioned above and the flooring is not an issue anymore. Also when vacuuming put a pair of tights over the hoover nozzle and you can check for missing parts while tidying up instead of crawling about the floors, your knees will thank you
  7. photoreceptors brighten our vision by making things appear in colour
  8. name your child after a maths problem and its sure to get bullied
  9. lots of good stuff, i can see heller getting a lot of my wages this year.
  10. Cool, we've not had the late escort before except for an expensive trans kit. and the tamiya is pricey now so this is gonna sell well in the uk and rest of europe, and probably the southern hemisphere too since rallying is pretty big there too
  11. you could try tieing a magnet on a bit of string and gently swinging it over the piles. It wont bring them magically to the surface but the magnet might tremble a little if the keys are near the surface and the magnets got a bit of strength/power to it. its a slim chance but it might work
  12. I was pretty much out of resin thismorning and my ordered stuff hasn't arrived yet due to some postal strikes so today I'm experimenting with my leftover resins. Basicly i've mixed them all together in one bottle and am now trying a print. I didn't use the leftover water washable but have mixed 2 colours of phrozen and one normal anycubic resin together. I know it says not to do this but i figure its waste resin anyway so i might as wekk give it a shot. I'll let you know the results.
  13. yay, very cool build and very on point for the current vw tuning scene. the oetinger bbs golf was a french edition they got about a year before the1.8 GTi was released but it didn't have the kit, just 3 piece bbs rs but the engine is pretty secial and very rare now. Most of these engines ended up being used for motorsport
  14. a shooting brake is a coachbuilt wagon based on a production luxury or sports car. the only exception is rolls and bentley shooting brakes since they are production cars but all the others are coachbuilt 2 doors. the current trend of naming wagons shooting brakes is just a model name, since they aren't coachbuilt. the california corvette wagon is a shooting brake as it wasn't built by chevy, if chevy built it then its just a 2 door wagon.
  15. its time for a xanax
  16. it might not be a usa release, theres no chance of it fitting in the boxes you get so i assume they'll just be imports
  17. do you mean a usa release? the camper has been out for 6 months but it sold very fast.
  18. all thats going to do is make it worse. you'll need to reprime first and possibly have to use a filler primer due to the crazing. i've had this happen so i only use duplicolour primers and if its bare plastic i start with the clear plastic primer then go onto the normal primer. the plastic in kits just isn't as good as it used to be. testing on disposable plastic spoons is a good help too, the styrene in them tends to react more than models so if it works on the spoons you should be ok
  19. sorry for your loss, i feel for you as i buried my friend on saturday
  20. I've put an anonymous complaint into work about me doing drugs, being rude to customers and just generally causing problems for other staff. I've not done any of this, i just fancied 3 weeks paid time off while they investigate
  21. alcohol and regrets are how many people spend tthe weekends
  22. i remember this one from the uk custom car mag while it was in the build stages. it stuck in my memory cos it was styled after a perambulator (kiddie carriage/pram) he bought for either his kid or a grandkid
