Had to call my landlords as the floor beside my shower went soft under the lino. After he saw where it was soft he's decided to replace the entire bathroom with new everything. Its wont be happening anytime soon as its not an emergency repair or risk. As a temp fix I've got a sheet of ply glued over it

Oh no, condolences to his family and friends. He's someone i've followed since the early 90s before all the gymkhana vids. I have magazine articles from his days as a skateboarder. Even in those days he was deeply involved with cars. I remember an interview where he was asked how he spent his money and his reply was he bought beaters just to have fun with his friends. In some of the big brother magazine vids you can see him laying the roots for the gymkhana vids, treating cars as just another skateboard. Ken was a massive influence to many people. RIP Ken, your legacy lives on

Lamborghini: The man behind the legend
stitchdup replied to PowerPlant's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
its not supposed to be a car movie, its about the guy himself. the clues in the name. if it was about the cars it wouldn't be called the man behind the legend -
Tamiya 2 part epoxy putty
stitchdup replied to Classicgas's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I'd get milliput simply for the bigger pack. Its great stuff and can be used as more than just filler. Some cheap clay sculpting tools are useful if you're using it to make bodies and to smooth just wet your fingers -

Duplicolor paint
stitchdup replied to Steveng's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
i stick with duplicolour and always use the clear plastic primer for the first coats, then either filler primer or normal. i haven't tried other primers with it but i have used tamiya ts paints and hok over it without problems (even on the same paintjob). Avoid their cheaper simoniz brand, its tempting because the cans are twice the size but its utter garbage that consists of mostly thinners and spit that doesn't cover -

i use it most of the time, it needs good primer coats as its fairly hot -
look for extractor vents for bathroom fans/cookers. they are round sections of pipe with a flap inside that only open one way. i have them on all my outside vents and they are much better than the flat wall mounted vents. they look similar to this but you want the ones with the pivot at the top. the centre ones just aren't as good as they can open with a breeze but the top pivot ones dont

This is entirely 3d printed though i'll probably use a set of pe bomber seats instead of the bench. It came with a flathead but i've changed it for a frentzel supercharged version. Since I'm on the boat all the paint will be brushed using citadel miniatures paints as they brush nice and clean up is easy. The kit comes with an external sprint steering set up but the angles on the mounts are a little off so some adjustment will be needed there. I messed up when i printed the chassis so one side turned out with soft edges but a few minutes with a file will fix that. I still have some clean up to do on the body from the support attachments and i'll need to scribe the door shuts
