if you want to put an engine in the sierra, the escort engine bay from uscp is correct for these (with a small extension to the sides possibly) too. The escort cossie was just a rebodied sierra

VW Fun Cup? Looks interesting...
stitchdup replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here's what happens when you have a load of left over gt parts, judd chevrolet v8 and a load of other parts. It raced in series called thunder saloons and they were all cars like this with the big bertha vauxhall probably being the most famous -
As the title says I'm looking for model shop i can go into and see what I'm buying. I'd like to find one that has aftermarket stock too as I've not been into a model shop in more than 20 years. My job is finished in an hour and I fancy a short break somewhere before looking for another. I'm not too worried where in the uk it is but near to one of the car museums would be a bonus. I'm not counting the shop in newcastle as it only had 4 car/truck kits

DHL, for some reason that i have yet to figure out, they keep losing/cant deliver a kit i ordered back at the start of december. I'm sure the shop i purchased it from are getting irked by it as well. Lets see if it turns up on the third attempt but i'm not going to hold my breath. Some other couriers are slow but it does arrive while dhl cant seem to get items past the north of england.

Hood Scoop for American Graffiti 1955 Chev
stitchdup replied to mopargreg's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
a scoop (not sure of its proper name) from the top of a blower might work if you cut it in half horizontally and stretch and widen it using the other half. If it was me thats what i would try by stretching first then widening it once its at the length you need. or maybe one of the hood scoops from a 70s firebird might work too -
Looking for Advice and Recommendations
stitchdup replied to Angela Jensen's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself
those kits on ebay might be your only choice in plastic kits but there might also be resin or 3d printed versions to build up using one of the other lincoln kits you found as a parts donor. I'm sure someone will be able to help you find what you are looking for. If you decide on one of the 2 kits on ebay it could also be worth getting someone to check that all the parts are in the box, its not unknown for kits to be mislabeled or incomplete. -
wow, 1/64 scale and that many colours! you're brave to even attempt it. cant wait for more

3D Pickup Truck Tool/Saddle Box?
stitchdup replied to av405's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
there are similar tool boxes on cults3d. they all seem to be aimed at rc trucks so they might not scale down very well or be very thin walled if they do print. its not something i have searched for but they pop up under truck searches -
i use boxes like Keef showed for small parts, larges totes for kit leftovers sorted into vw, audi etc, other euros, japanese and us kits with a couple of random totes for things that might be useful. my wheel sets are in these sweet boxes and they hold up to 24" wheels in 1/24. I like these boxes as they let me see the wheels without any hassle, and the sweets aren't bad either.

stitchdup replied to misterNNL's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
i can get drawings if anyone wants them, most designs have been tested locally before going into full production as all the test equipment is based here. -
