  1. deterrant at me pants an dey might fall down
  2. please stop him driving, dementia can cause visual and auditory hallucinations that lead to accidents. Things that can help you both cope are when he's having a good day, you could go through old photos and write down who each person is. it gets his brain working more and older memories are going to be easier for him to find. foods he would have enjoyed when he was younger will have an affect too. Its a hard road but there will be good days and bad and all you can really do is your best. be sure to make time for yourself too, you cant help if your burnt out. It also helps to have a sick sense of humour just to keep yourself sane. If he does something funny, its ok to laugh so dont feel guilty about things like that. Have you got a local group that deals with dementia? oftentimes they will have bed alarms that will let you know if he is up and wandering through the night. If he starts to wander the bed alarm will be a major weight of your mind as you get to know before they reach an outside door. My granny had the bed alarm and she was up and wandering almost every night so the alarm saved a lot of worry. also, its ok to be frustrated by the disease, and you will get frustrated by it a lot as its an awful thing.
  3. My kit finally turned up 2 weeks ago after dhl seemed to be incapable of delivering it 3 times. Its the aoshima toyota cresta and it wont look like it soon. The plan is for a full on bosozoku lke these http://www.speedhunters.com/2010/05/event_gt_gt_bosozoku_meet/
  4. Looks like a great kit TJ, I'm hoping to get mine moving soon now the bathroom is finally done
  5. If you mean this post it seems to be displaying ok
  6. Its fun when it works, infuriating when it fails. And the options are nerly limitless if you can draw but still pretty good if you buy files
  7. if you have the manufacurer paint code zero will mix it for you
  8. I've only got a small area left before filler now man, I have the oil based primer for after i fill the edges and where i've made divots. If i knew how much of a pain it was going to be i'd have just papered it. I'm having to mask around the mirror and other bits too cos they have been on so long the plastic will break if i remove them.
  9. Since i got my shower replaced a couple of weeks ago i decided to repaint my bathroom. I dont know what one of the previous tennants was thinking but theres a layer of bright blue latex under the wallpaper and its really a fight to get it removed. I've spent the entire week scraping it off dry as if this stuff gets wet it just smears. Its not even a big room, 2m x 2.5m but i'm on day 9 of stripping whatever this stuff is from the walls. I think I'll get some edging for around the roof as I already bought all the paint without planning to do the roof and it'll save me having to strip it back too. I really hope i can get the filler and painting started soon. I expected it to take a couple of days, not a couple of weeks and I've filled 2 bin bags with paint scrapings. On the plus side, i think the room is bigger now
  10. I think spot model have the alpina graphics and a few others for this kit and the e30s
  11. I filled my friend toilet cystern with jello when i was watching his dog. I also left an inch of cold water on top so it all looked right when he couldn't get it to flush. Apparently the plumber had never seen it before. The same time I also scanned every photo with him in it, that was in the house and replaced him with me, even his work id got done. He was finding them for months.
  12. how about the same puzzle with one corner from another puzzle.
  13. I never knew antoni gaudi made exhausts
  14. bill is the guy with no arms and legs that everybody tries to avoid
  15. one link from the middle of every trouser zipper
  16. 2 cats with their tails tied together
  17. the bathroom door
  18. some of those light up christmas tree ornaments might be a cheap source for lighting. some of them just have a watch battery for the power source so wouldn't take up much space.
  19. fuses from every appliance in the house, forks and spoons, knobs off cooker, the pins that connect door handles together, shower curtains, tap handles, plugs
  20. Well i purchased an anycubic m3 max a couple of weeks ago and it works great so far. I am still fighting with the mono 4k and have tried the settings that work on the m3 on the mono and still the prints on it are failing. Is there a setting on the printer i might be missing out? I copied the settings that are working on the m3 but still the monno doesn't want to play ball
  21. awesome, i kept expecting an episode of initial D to start
  22. While not a specific kit, I'd like to see more curbsides brought back but with seperate hoods. There are plenty of kit and aftermarket sources for engines and other underhood parts but opening the hood can very quickly spoil a model if something slips. It seemed to be a popular feature on the first amt nova wagons and saves the tooling costs for an engine
  23. went to the landlords to pay some rent in advance only to find I'm already 6 weeks ahead. I was quite taken aback by this as i missed a payment in november so should have been about even, if not a couple weeks behind. I'm not sure how it has happened as i'm only paying a little extra each wage and it shouldn't be this much ahead
  24. I just cleared out the local motor factors of filler primer, the guy in the shop said he had more through the back so i bought it all too, along with a selection of other paints and primers. Turns out they cant sell more than 20 colours at a time or the anti grafitti rules freeze the till. Still i should have enough primer to keep me going for a while
