    34 ford

Looks good. Who makes the kit?
  2. Classy ride. Nice job on her.
  3. Nice haul, Rob. The '36 Ford and '69 Chevelle convertible really appeal to me.
  4. I bought the Nike Ajax a few years ago (Revell re-release). It's interesting how similar the Russian SA-2 is to the Ajax.
  5. It happens. A few years back, I thought I was 54 on my birthday, only to discover that the entire year before I had thought I was 53, when in fact I had been 52. In a way I got a free year, as I got to be 53 all over again.
  6. Yep, but they no longer offer the service of developing 110 film, have to send out for that.
  7. I like the way you think, Harry. This is (unfortunately) the most progress I've made so far on my 4-8-8-4 Big Boy locomotive and tender.
  8. There's a September 39th?
  9. I disagree. Figures are often used to depict relative size, so given that the figures and aircraft are all full size, scale relationship is achieved.
  10. There are very specific magazines I want, and will eventually get, regardless of where I have to go for them. I have virtually none at the moment, but used to have a couple hundred.
  11. Way nice. Sorry for drudging this one back up, but I'm searching for '32 Vicky related threads and this one popped up.
  12. Overcast here last night, big time, so I missed it.
  13. I sort of fall in between, starting off with building both airplanes and cars, though probably more cars. As the years rolled by, I moved mostly to military modeling, and have just recently come back to the world of car models, many as tributes to kits I built when I was a kid.
  14. I couldn't agree more. The first twelve or so cars that I'll build now, are mostly "tribute to my youth" car models. Most of the military kits I built as a kid though (aircraft primarily), I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole now, as the kits I used then were junk, and still are (dime store stuff), whereas the car models are at least acceptable.
  15. Mechanical designer, retired,... sort of. Lost my job some time back, so just waiting for the social security payments to kick in.
  16. There are actually three, automotive model, non automotive model, and non model related.
  17. Nope. For the same money, I could buy 20 other kits, so that's what I'd prefer.
  18. I generally have saved mine, and have been doing so for many, many years, decals too.
  19. Great accomplishment, Rich, you should be proud, I know I sure would be.
  20. Not so many lately, but I did snatch this beauty today (I screwed up my last one). Hobby Lobby had done a major restock, but my cash (as usual) was limited.
  21. Great, I hadn't realized they were up yet. Thanks, Pat.
  22. Excellent, Pat, congrats. I mistook your comment to read best of show vs best automotive.
  23. Any photos of the Best of Show winner? I'd love to know what won what, as I had to leave well before the awards presentation. Heck, for all I know, we may have even talked, hard to say.
  24. Generally I agree. PB (freebie) has been pretty good for me for several years now. My one issue is that only one link option is available to me now, whereas there used to be four,... that and the fact that this forum will still not allow me to link images, as I continue to get the wheel of death, so eventually I'll no longer be able to upload anything.
