  1. I only have about a dozen or so car models, and will never reach the level of the OP, but when I look at the rest of my stash; aircraft armor and ships, I too have a ton, far more than I can manage to complete in the next fifty years. My family (brother and sister) could care less, so they'll probably all be taken to the dump.
  2. OK, thanks. (I currently use a Nikon Coolpix that works just great, but I'd eventually like to upgrade.)
  3. Just out of curiosity, how much will you be seeking for the D5300?
  4. For me, it's a giant subwoofer, usually on such a junky car that the bumpers vibrate. I hear a little too much of that around here.
  5. A couple more for the pile, both gifts from different friends.
  6. That's just too cool. Thanks for that.
  7. A very minor thing by some standards, but I received this yesterday, a Meade moon filter for my telescope. This should help a great deal when viewing the moon.
  8. Never heard of him; Chip's dad, I take it?
  9. I'd like to know that myself. My coffeine induced shaky hands would never allow such precise work.
  10. The combination of the two will look pretty decent, I think.
  11. Now being somewhat reluctant to use the Tamiya Coral, I opted for Testors Icy Blue instead.
  12. After scrubbing with some steel wool, I've repainted using Testors gloss black instead. This I should be able to work with.
  13. The Tamiya black on the fenders turned out just horrible. I don't know if I just goofed it up or what.
  14. Body primered, so now good for some paint.
  15. Seat cleaned up and primered now; looks a heck of a lot better, but still needs a bit of tweaking.
  16. I want to be able to paint this good when I grow up.
  17. The crazy huge gap in the front seat sides has now been filled with epoxy putty, then skim coated with Tamiya white putty. Once this is dry, I'll form it to shape and commence painting.
  18. The tub interior had strange slots molded through the rear wheel wells, so after just a bit more tweaking, I'll be able to shoot primer, or at least that's the plan right now.
  19. It's been a while since I played with this, but I have a strong desire to finish it up for a show here in May, so it's time to get moving on it again. Fenders, now cleaned up well, have finally been primered. Tomorrow I shoot on the Tamiya black lacquer, and I'm really looking forward to that.
  20. It's a pretty amazing time to be a large scale aircraft modeler. (Anxiously waiting for the 1:32 Mirage 2000, due out in the next few months.)
  21. I envy anyone that can actually get to Telford for that show, as that seems to be where all the really big announcements are made.
