  1. Very cool. I never grow weary of looking at Challengers.
  2. Where did you get such cool metalflake paint?
  3. Mine hit the ground first. Mine was taller.
  4. I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.
  5. I'd horse whip you, if I had a horse.
  6. Be glad they're not 1:32 scale, Harry. Taurus models makes 1:32 plugs for use in WWI fighter plane engines. I have some here, and they are tiny.
  7. I'll make him an offer he can't refuse.
  8. I'm still struggling to get one model finished, let alone this nice.
  9. Oh, you assume I can actually read, eh? Actually, I generally do just mostly look at the photos, reading but a small percentage of actual posts and responses.
  10. Very similar then, to the inline six bangers used on many WWI fighter aircraft.
  11. The quality, as far as I'm concerned, is excellent, far better than the tractor tires found in many kits. As to fit, I suppose it depends on what you try to fit them to.
  12. I may need to acquire some other kits first, then see if there is anything in these latest kits that will benefit the others. I have no intention of doing any fender-less cars, so these kits will just be a source for new parts, but parts I may not even need. I'll have to look into it more, that's for sure.
  13. I may end up snatching one of these for myself, this and the '29. They look like nice kits.
  14. I really like that blue on the body. What color/brand is it?
  15. Real nice start. Not a kit I'd care to attempt, but certainly interesting to watch.
  16. Some interesting models there, so thanks for posting them. I'm not sure I get the significance of the "Sponsers Wanted" [sic] sign in front of the dragster model.
  17. I'm not sure about the tagged content, but I routinely export all of my Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file, so that I have a copy in case the browser goes down permanently, which it has never done.
  18. I'll go over and check it out. I almost never visit there, and not really sure why.
  19. Actually, Jim, most of this work has been done for some time now. I'm just slowly doing a copy/past of it here from another site. Model is currently about 75% complete.
  20. Area inside the radiator discharge, has some real nasty pin marks that will need to be dealt with. Normally I wouldn’t bother with these, but with this model destined for a contest here in September, I dare not risk not dealing with them. In retrospect, I wish I’d looked at this area more closely before I glued the fuselage halves together, as it would have been way simpler to eliminate them then.
  21. One thing I’m happy to have discovered is that while Hasegawa offers the intake as two pieces, with a corresponding seam, the actual intake has no such seam, so I’ve filled it with surfacer and smoothed it over. Some modelers seem to catch this, while others don’t, and I almost missed it myself. I've also filled the area where the venturi is located, as this aircraft apparently didn't have that mounted (still needs another spot of filler though.) It's also apparent in this photo that cowl needs a bit more sanding to correct some minor fit and shape issues.
  22. I had to shim this piece behind the 'pit to get it installed flush, but I managed to get it in there really nice. A little sanding and surfacer, and it should look just fine.
