  1. Thanks, fellas, I need all the support I can get.
  2. That engine certainly looks healthy.
  3. Agreed. Looks interesting indeed.
  4. Agreed. Looks nice.
  5. It's an annual occurrence. I've heard stuff being shot off here since last Friday.
  6. For the most part, I'm very uneasy when anyone other than myself is driving. I'm going to let a car drive me around? Not too likely.
  7. Those colors look great together.
  8. The lowered height looks lots better. Are the rear wheels a little too far forward? Not picking on the car, just curious.
  9. I remember a coupe of gangster car models that had bullet hole decals, machine guns and stuff, like the '27 Lincoln. Too cool.
  10. My Weber has about a half inch of grease in it that I need to clean out. Time for a couple of cans of el cheapo oven cleaner.
  11. Same with the side panels.
  12. Admittedly it doesn't look like much now, but after the multi stage painting effort is complete, I think the dash will look OK.
  13. Lots of grilled chow and cold drinks this weekend, that's for sure.
  14. Very nice. I wish I could get one this clean.
  15. Sanding the backs thin enough so that you could open them up, was my first thought, but that would take some serious effort. Making them out of brass shim stock is another option, but also a ton of work. I may just be lazy, but I generally avoid even thinking about such things.
  16. Two coats of a black wash so far on the grille. When it's 100% dry, I'll buff off the excess.
  17. I hate to be a stick in the mud, Harry, but I expect that the louvers (stair treads), will be much too thick to represent sheet metal.
  18. I understand completely, and agree 100%.
  19. Thanks, Brandon. I feel this one may actually have some potential.
  20. Me too, it should be fun. If it turns out the way I visualize it, it ought to be pretty spiffy, I hope.
  21. I'm in the "whatever fits the wheels used" camp here, Brandon, but that's just me.
  22. Your project is really starting to look the part, Joe.
  23. Nope, that one was a straight T/A. I'll be combining the Revell T/A with the AMT R/T convertible, to (hopefully), get one accurate R/T convertible. I then need to buy an additional T/A to get the parts that I misplaced on the T/A you're thinking of.
  24. Interesting. I like the old GTO, so I'll definitely be eyaballing this.
