  1. I'm a Testors (not Model Master) liquid cement user, and have been for years now.
  2. Time will tell, but my initial experiences were certainly not great. I'm already hunting down some of the original stuff.
  3. Interesting concept. If I'm not mistaken, I built the shark when I was just a kid. I'll hunt down another one, one of these days.
  4. How sad to see a car in such lousy shape.
  5. On the plus side, I did stick a piece onto the body, and it seemed to stick a little better, not lifting off in one chunk, as it wanted to do from the door panels.
  6. My feelings at this time are mixed, as foil didn't seem to want to stick to the door panel at all (just like the Ultra Chrome), but I figure that in part, it may have something to do with the door panels being semi gloss and not full gloss, so I've sprayed them both with some gloss now, and I'll try it again later. We'll see what happens, I guess.
  7. MY BMF arrived today, the "new improved" variety.
  8. Interesting idea, Scott, but I can't determine at the moment how I'd do that, as each holiday vehicle will be in the colors of that particular season/holiday.
  9. I'm considering doing a high resolution scan of some Christmas paper I have here, so that I can print it off small, and wrap a few small presents for the truck bed. I'll quite possibly source a small tree too, or possibly just build one.
  10. Thanks for the info on the Challengers, fellas. Given that it's one of my all time favorites (the '70 that is), I'll have to look into it further.
  11. Slight change of plans here. I now realize that I'll never be able to finish this by this Halloween, so this has now become my Christmas truck instead; green and red, all the way.
  12. Interesting. While I'm primarily interested in the '70, I'd probably consider one of the others as well.
  13. I may have to hunt one of those down myself, just to see how it compares to the AMT and Revell/Monogram kits.
  14. Looks cool to me. And you're right, Aires is sort of a hit or miss proposition, but I love the detailing they add. If they made a set for the Revell Fw 190F, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
  15. I'm intrigued by the Challenger box, Bill,... MPC kit?
  16. In my ongoing attempt to gather all the hardware for my new PC, this just arrived today, a Toshiba 240GB SSD. This will hold my O.S. and misc programs, while general storage will be on at least one 2TB conventional hard disc. I also grabbed a 64GB flash drive so that I can start the process of storing/copying some files off of this machine.
  17. They do look good, too bad they're not thicker though. To me, that's a major drawback to some P.E. stuff.
  18. Looks like a good fit, Joe. If I recall correctly, True Details also did a 'pit for the Arado.
  19. Thanks, Janne. I love using the airbrush, it may just be one of my favorite modeling tasks.
  20. I certainly understand that. I'm beginning to believe, at least from my own perspective, that color choices will make or break a car model, no matter what other work or detailing has been done.
  21. Looking very nice.
  22. Me too, G, me too. I chose this particular scheme just for the challenge of painting it. If I can really do it right, it should end up looking pretty cool, I think.
  23. I think I have a reasonable amount of Ar 234 data, should you need any help, though the Aero Detail book you already have, is probably one of the better references for the aircraft that I'm aware of.
