  1. Nope, haven't started it yet, haven't even purchased the kit yet, though I'll probably go with the Revell kit, as it's dirt cheap, but very nice. Oddly enough, I'm doing it as much for the very attractive scheme, as I am for it being a ground attack machine, as the scheme, to me, is especially cool.
  2. Thanks, Joe. 1:32 scale for aircraft models, has been a passion of mine for quite a while now. I'll be starting to paint the camo this week, if all goes well.
  3. Yes, the C-3/4, 4 engined bird. I bought it specifically to do the machine with the V-1 launcher, as I did the same thing in 1:72 and always liked it a lot. I saw in your first post that you also like the Focke-Wulf fighters; I'll be taking a 1:32 Fw 190F-8 to the nationals in Omaha next year.
  4. Call me a cheap old miser, but I make it a point to never spend over $20-$25 on a car model. This will undoubtedly change of course, when I eventually grab some 1:16 and 1:8 scale kits.
  5. Bottom rear seam all polished out now. (It wasn't nearly as bad as I had originally thought.) Tamiya white putty came in very handy here.
  6. Surfing the J-aircraft site, I stumbled upon this, a diagram of what areas were theoretically scrutinized while researching aircraft that would serve as profiles during the creation of the fairly recent Ki-61 Aces book from Osprey. Quite interesting stuff, and reaffirms a few things that I had noted previously, as well as pointing out several things I had been completely unaware of. According to this, all spinners were brown, with a few exceptions, so brown mine will be.
  7. Speaking of pin marks, radiator door has four of the little buggers. Thank goodness for Mister Surfacer. And now dealt with. There was a weird molding anomaly on the trailing edge, but I've now addressed that issue as well.
  8. If building this kit, I'd recommend opening up gun bays from below, before installing doors from above, as doors are a teeny bit thinner than the openings, so they'll end up slightly below the surrounding surfaces. Either that, or shim as needed (probably easier), to achieve proper height. Here the doors have been installed, and Mister Surfacer, (followed by a 91% alcohol wipe), used to fill the small voids around the doors. Still needs a small bit of work.
  9. And here the lower front seam area has been prepared for primer (Testors sandable lacquer) to follow.
  10. Good news, my Wolfpack decals have arrived. Too bad the mailman saw fit to fold them in half to put in our tiny mailbox.
  11. OK, this bright chrome BMF is absolutely horrible, and is already in the trash. I'll be ordering some of the good stuff today, it looks like. I find this very, very frustrating, but really see no other options.
  12. I didn't think I'd really care for the colors, but they certainly seem to work with this car.
  13. Very cool.
  14. I like what's been done so far.
  15. A trip to HL yesterday yielded this, purchased for me by a friend as payment for a favor rendered. I'm not real keen (at all) on fender-less cars, but the kit may yield some valuable parts for other stuff.
  16. I just received a brand new package Friday, and it went into the trash yesterday afternoon. It would not stick to anything, and was, as has already been pointed out, considerably thicker than the normal chrome foil. It seems highly doubtful that I'll ever buy it again.
  17. I never thought I'd see myself say this, but what an excellent looking battery you have there.
  18. Looks excellent, Kev.
  19. This should be nice. I'll be eyeballing it for sure.
  20. Nice. I've got the Pro Modeller version of the Ar 234 in 1:48, and a Tamiya V-1 to mount to it, as per the old Dragon 1:72 kit.
  21. The Elder Geek is great too, specifically for dealing with Windows operating system(s) issues.
  22. Thanks, fellas, I'm getting seriously pumped about this baby. My supplies arrived yesterday as anticipated, including yet more BMF, so work will resume on this, post haste.
  23. Here's one I've been after for a while, but never seemed to get around to actually buying. I may get a couple more eventually, not real sure at this point.
  24. Thanks, Richard. I'm certainly looking forward to wrapping this one up.
